2018 Santa Barbara International Film Festival Program Announced

The 44th ANNUAL DAYTIME EMMY AWARDS were held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium last night, Sunday, April 30th, 2017. This year's ceremony was hosted Mario Lopez and Sheryl Underwood. Among the winners were CBS's “The Talk”, which picked up the prize for outstanding talk show hosts.

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) and THE TALK exclusively revealed the “44th Annual Daytime Emmy® Awards” nominations live today on the CBS Television Network. CBS leads the Daytime Emmy nominations with 70 nods, ahead of the other broadcast networks.

On Friday, June 20th, the brightest stars of televisions below the line talent in Daytime gathered at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles to honor their own at the 41st Daytime Creative Arts EMMY Awards. Although many of the individuals associated with nominated projects may not have been household names, there were many recognizable personalities such as Ron Howard, George Lucas, Leeza Gibbons, Jack Hanna and even Cookie Monster (David Rudman). On hand to disperse awards to over 50 categories were such noted performers as Melody Thomas Scott, George Chakiris, Ashley Tisdale, Lauralee Bell and June Lockhart, who has started her 81st year as a paid actress that included her role of Maria Ramirez on General Hospital for many years. Broward Center for the Performing Arts and Matthew Lombardo will present five-time Emmy Award-winner Heather Tom in Vanities directed by John J. Castonia. Tickets go on sale January 10, 2014 for the acclaimed Jack Heifner play, which is part of the WinterStage Season at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale, Florida from March 26-30, 2014.
