National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) Acting Chairman Joan Shigekawa announced today that the American Theatre Wing is one of 886 nonprofit organizations nationwide to receive an NEA Art Works grant. The American Theatre Wing is recommended for a $20,000 grant to support their SpringboardNYC and Theatre Intern Group programs.

The Tony Awards Administration Committee has announced this year's recipients of 2014 Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre. These honors will be presented at the Tony Honors Cocktail Party, a private cocktail reception, on Monday, June 2nd at the Paramount Hotel's Diamond Horseshoe. The 2014 Tony Awards will be broadcast live on Sunday, June 8th on CBS, and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

The 2014 award will be presented to Jane Greenwood, one of Broadway's preeminent costume designers.

The Tony Awards® Administration Committee has announced that Rosie O'Donnell will receive the 2014 Isabelle Stevenson Award. This award will be presented at the 2014 Tony Awards on Sunday, June 8th. The 2014 Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

The Tony Awards have announced that the Paramount Hotel will also host the Meet the Nominees Press Reception on Wednesday, April 30th and the 2014 Tony Nominee Luncheon on Tuesday, May 20th. Additionally, the Paramount Hotel will host the 2014 Tony Honors Cocktail Reception on Monday, June 2nd, which will present the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre, the Regional Theatre Award and celebrate the 2014 Special Award Recipients. The 2014 Tony Award Nominations on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The live ceremony will take place at the Paramount Hotel's newly renovated Diamond Horseshoe.

The American Theatre Wing announced today that the recipients of the 2014 Jonathan Larson Grants are writing team Sara Cooper (lyricist/bookwriter) & Zach Redler (composer), receiving $12,500 and the Running Deer Residency; and Shaina Taub (composer/lyricist), receiving $12,500. The prestigious grants, totaling $15,000 more than last year's grants, will be presented on Monday, April 7, 2014 at a private event at the WNYC Greene Space. The event will feature special performances of the recipients' work.

The American Theatre Wing has announced that its annual Gala, to be held on Monday, September 15 at The Plaza Hotel (Fifth Avenue at Central Park South), will honor Dame Angela Lansbury, who has served as Honorary Chairman of the American Theatre Wing Board of Trustees since 2010. CeCe Black, Anki Leeds, and Sir Howard Stringer will serve as Gala co-chairs.

Tony Award Productions, a joint venture of The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing, announced today that White Cherry Entertainment will serve as the production team for the annual theater awards for three more years. White Cherry Entertainment's founders Glenn Weiss (Executive Producer/Director) and Ricky Kirshner (Executive Producer) have served as the Tony Awards' production team since 2003.

Glenn Weiss and the directing team of the 67th Annual Tony Awards, have been nominated with a Directors Guild Award in the category of Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Variety/Talk/News/Sports-Specials. This is Mr. Weiss' 10th DGA Award nomination. He won the DGA Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Musical Variety in 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2012 for the 61st, 64th, 65th and 66th Annual Tony Awards. He was previously nominated in this category in 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2008, all for the 55th, 56th, 59th, 60th, 62nd-Annual Tony Awards.

The Tony Awards have announced the line-up of stars who will take the stage at the the 67th Annual Tony Awards. The 2013 Tony Awards will broadcast live from Radio City Music Hall in New York City, on CBS, on Sunday, June 9th 8:00 - 11:00 p.m. (ET/PT time delay) and are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

The American Theatre Wing's 67th Annual Tony Awards will be simulcast live in Times Square on Sunday, June 9th. The outdoor celebration of Broadway is free and open to the public, right in the heart of New York City's Theatre District.

The partnership will commence at the annual Tony Eve Cocktail Party which will take place on Saturday, June 8th, hosted by the Paramount Hotel's food and beverage partner, LDV Hospitality, at their Midtown restaurant, Lugo Caffe (One Penn Plaza). At the event, the Tony Awards will present the Tony Honors for Excellence in the Theatre to: Career Transition for Dancers; William Craver; Peter Lawrence, The Lost Colony and the actresses who share the role of "Matilda" in Matilda the Musical: Sophia Gennusa, Oona Laurence, Baily Ryan and Milly Shapiro. CBS announced today a new broadcast agreement with The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing that will keep the annual TONY Awards broadcast on the CBS Television Network through 2018. The awards show, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been a part of the CBS family for the past 35 years.
