David Rossmer will assume the role of Thenardier in Cameron Mackintosh's production of Claude-Michel Schönberg & Alain Boublil's legendary musical Les Miserables tomorrow, Friday, May 13 at the Imperial Theatre, it was announced today.

Equal parts historical and hysterical, all heaving harmonies and tipsy candour, explore the history of gin through story and song. Stumble and soar through tales of love and women, gin and secrets, as we wind our way through 18th Century London, a few New York speakeasies, the Australian bush and the jungles of Peru, via sailors and barmaids, bootleggers and master distillers.

The cast celebrated the milestone with a post-performance party at Tony's di Napoli Restaurant, featuring the unveiling of a portrait featuring stars John Owen-Jones (Valjean) and Hayden Tee (Javert) by artist Dan May for the restaurant's Broadway Wall of Fame.  The party was hosted by Bruce Dimpflmaier and Tony's di Napoli and emceed by Valerie Smaldone. BROADWAY SESSIONS is described as an evening of musical performances, games and open mic featuring a new Broadway guest each week. As BroadwayWorld previously reported, New Zealand native Hayden Tee will assume the role of Javert beginning tonight, January 29 in Cameron Mackintosh's acclaimed new Broadway production of Claude-Michel Schonberg & Alain Boublil's Les Miserables, now in its second year at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street). Tee comes directly to Broadway from the new Australian production of Les Miserables, for which he has received wide acclaim. He was recently named Best Actor in A Musical at the Sydney Theatre Awards for his performance as Javert.

The award-winning Australian production has celebrated an extraordinary 19-month run with triumphant seasons in Melbourne, Perth, Sydney and Brisbane and will close after 588 performances.
