Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced principal casting for the Globe's 2010 Shakespeare Festival performed in repertory.

Tony Award winner Judy Kaye will sing the songs of Harold Arlen and other giants of the American songbook in a special cabaret performance in the Globe's new Hattox Hall on Monday, February 8 at 8:00 p.m. David Green directs and Dennis Buck music directs the internationally renowned concert and opera star.

The Los Angeles Times has gotten the first look at the renovated Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre at the Old Globe. Originally a 224-seat, the seats were demolished and rebuilt as a 250-seat theatre and, although much of the theatre will look similar to an audience member, the Old Globe has done much to enhance the theatre-going experience.

Production photos have been released for the Old Globe's production of Neil Simon's 'Lost in Yonkers', the inaugural production of the Globe's Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre. Tony Award winner Judy Kaye will play Grandma Kurnitz in Simon's Pulitzer Prize-winning play. Directed by Scott Schwartz, Lost in Yonkers will run Jan. 23 - Feb. 28. Previews run from Jan. 23 - Jan. 27. Opening night is Jan. 28 at 8:00 p.m.

Old Globe Executive Producer Lou Spisto today announced the complete cast and creative team for Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers, the inaugural production of the Globe's Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre.

The premiere of Street Lights, originally set to run Feb. 20 - 28 at both Lincoln High School's Center for the Arts and the Old Globe Theatre, has been postponed. The contemporary musical drama by composer and lyricist Joe Drymala recently received a one week workshop, culminating in a showcase presentation in the Globe's new Hattox Hall. The musical will continue to be developed to better accommodate the addition of new material and other desired changes by the creative team discovered through the workshop process. A future date has not been announced.

The well-loved classic, by the creators of The Fantasticks, spans five decades in the life of a married couple - from the nervousness of their wedding day to the wisdom of old age. I Do! I Do! will run Dec. 11 - 20, 2009. There's a nice 'buzz' generating from a small production of 'I DO! I DO!' in San Diego's Old Globe Theatre, taking place in the new Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre venue. The production happened through an alchemy of perfect timing and availability for everyone involved as Lost in Yonkers, directed by Scott Schwartz was originally scheduled to be the first show in the space. The Old Globe's Louis G. Spisto brought the renovation in on time and in-budget with time to spare and had been talking for some time to both stars, who had expressed interest in the piece, which rarely gets high-profile productions.
