The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present Ian Buchanan and Mariette Hartley starring in THE LION IN WINTER, written by James Goldman and directed by Stephanie Vlahos. THE LION IN WINTER will preview on Wednesday, April 16; Thursday, April 17; and Friday, April 18 at 8:00pm and will open on Saturday, April 19 at 8:00pm and continue through Sunday, May 18 at The Colony Theatre, 555 N. Third Street (at Cypress) adjacent to the Burbank Town Center Mall.
New York Philharmonic to Return to Bravo! Vail for 12th Annual Summer Residency, 7/18-25

The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado for the Orchestra's 12th- annual summer residency there, performing six concerts July 18-25, 2014. Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct three programs, July 18-20, featuring works by composers for whom he has advocated during his tenure, ranging from Nielsen to The Marie-Jose?e Kravis Composer-in- Residence Christopher Rouse. The other Philharmonic concerts will be conducted by Bramwell Tovey (July 23 and 25) and Ted Sperling (July 24), and will feature works by Copland, Gershwin, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Loesser, among others.

Winner of Macha Theatre's Playwriting Competition Macha Theatre presents a workshop production of a new play, Shades by Tom Hartley, the winner of Macha's 2013 Playwriting Competition, produced and directed by Odalys Nanin. The play opens Saturday, March 29th at 8pm at Macha Theatre/Films in West Hollywood, California. The story centers on Miguel, a troubled high school student who enjoys taunting gays. Miguel's life is unexpectedly turned upside down, when a gift from his girlfriend ends-up changing his life forever - as he sets-off on an often comedic course of self-acceptance about his own sexuality. Going gay has never been this dysfunctional!
David Neumann to Premiere New Solo Works at MASS MoCA's Hunter Center, 4/26

Interdisciplinary choreographer David Neumann will present an evening of solos April 26 at 8pm at MASS MoCA's Hunter Center for the Performing Arts. A co-presentation by Jacob's Pillow Dance and MASS MoCA, the retrospective evening spans Neumann's career from his first choreographic endeavor, DOSE, to his current work-in-progress, I Understand Everything Better. The program, also including tough the tough (redux) (2008) and You Are In Control (2009), captures Neumann's exploration of lines between theatre and dance, audience and performer, movement and voice, mundane and theatrical.

The Georgia O'Keeffe Museum is proud to present a tribute dedicated to Alfred Stieglitz marking the 150th anniversary of his birth. A noted photographer, publisher, gallery owner and modern-art pioneer as well as mentor, promoter and husband of Georgia O'Keeffe, Stieglitz was a remarkable man who left an indelible mark on the history of art. Touch Theory Dance is motivated by the foundation of energy, motion, and emotion. In our new work, 'Pandemonium,' we feed energy to our emotions through the use of contact movement. In this work, we use organic contact to create the architecture of our world. There is no set design but there is a sense of construction, the dancers are both the boundaries and the characters. 'Pandemonium,' premieres tonight, Feb. 14th and 15th at the Hartley House Theater.
