Leonard Nimoy's VINCENT Comes to King Center This Weekend

Leonard Nimoy's Vincent will be presented by Starry Night Theater Company for three performances only, beginning tonight, March 20, and continuing through March 22, 2015 at the Maxwell C. King Center's Studio Theater. Tickets are $33 for adults and $29 for Seniors and Students. Ticket prices inclusive of fees.

PlayMakers to Close Season with 4000 MILES, 4/1-19

PlayMakers Repertory Company will conclude its Mainstage Season with Pulitzer Prize finalist "4000 Miles" by Amy Herzog, onstage April 1 through 19. PlayMakers is the professional theater in residence at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Leonard Nimoy's VINCENT Returning to Blumenthal, 4/2-12

Leonard Nimoy's Vincent returns to the Blumenthal Performing Art Center's Stage Door Theater for eight performances April 2-12, 2015. This production, on tour for over two years, delighted Charlotte audiences in May and June of 2014. Author Leonard Nimoy, who passed away on February 27 of this year, dramatizes the passionate and turbulent life of Vincent van Gogh in this intimate one-man play adapted from hundreds of letters between Van Gogh and his closest ally, his brother, Theo. The play includes over 100 stunning high-resolution projections of Vincent's artwork on a large screen.

MCC Theater Rounds Out 2015-16 Season with Halley Feiffer's 'A FUNNY THING...'

MCC THEATER has announced the final production of its four-show 2015-16 Main Stage Season, which runs August 2015 through June 2016. Playwright Halley Feiffer (I'm Gonna Pray For You So Hard) will make her MCC Theater debut with her play A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City. Trip Cullman returns to direct after helming this season's critically acclaimed hit Punk Rock. Full details below. This also marks the reunion of Feiffer and Cullman following their hit production of I'm Gonna Pray For You So Hard at the Atlantic Theater Company in early 2015.

San Francisco Playhouse to Continue Sandbox Series with IN A WORD

San Francisco Playhouse (Bill English, Artistic Director; Susi Damilano, Producing Director) continues its sixth season of the Sandbox Series of new plays with the National New Play Network Rolling World Premiere of Lauren Yee's in a word. Giovanna Sardelli will direct.

Jess Goldstein, Douglas W. Schmidt & More to Receive 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards

Tony Award-winning costume designer, JESS GOLDSTEIN (currently represented on Broadway with Jersey Boys and On the Town), and scenic designer DOUGLAS W. SCHMIDT are among the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Awards recipients. The awards will be presented at a ceremony on Friday, May 1, at 6:30pm, at the Hudson Theatre (145 West 44th Street). Mr. Goldstein was selected to receive the 2015 TDF/Irene Sharaff Lifetime Achievement Award for costume design and Mr. Schmidt will receive the Robert L.B. Tobin Award for Sustained Excellence in Theatrical Design.
