Nicola and Managing Director William Russo, and The Acting Company Producing Artistic Director Margot Harley have announced that The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter, written by Rebecca Gilman, based on the novel by Carson McCullers, directed by Doug Hughes, will begin performances Friday, November 13, 2009, at 7pm, at NYTW, 79 East 4th Street, between Second Avenue and Bowery.

Tony Award winner Harriet Harris hosted the event, which was presented by ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty) and Sh-K-Boom/Ghostlight Records. Stafford Arima (London's Ragtime, Altar Boyz) directed the concert.
