Platform Theatre Group (Greg Tully, Producer) will present the New York revival of Lee Blessing's Two Rooms, directed by Peter Flynn, for a limited Off-Broadway engagement at the Lion Theatre at Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street), beginning October 2nd. Opening Night is set for Tuesday, October 7th (7 PM).

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) has announced additional casting and details for the third production of its 2008/2009 Season, the New York premiere of PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY, a new play by two-time Tony Award nominee, two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist and two-time Obie Award winner Craig Lucas (Small Tragedy at Playwrights Horizons, The Light in the Piazza, Prelude to a Kiss, Reckless, The Dying Gaul). PRAYER FOR MY ENEMY is the first of two plays by Mr. Lucas that will receive their New York premiere this season.

Nearly four decades after its pre-Broadway tryout at the Colonial Theatre, the Lyric Stage production of 'Follies' is an homage to the Stephen Sondheim musical, with magnificent costumes, evocative set, rich orchestrations, and an all-star cast.

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center has acquired the papers of renowned performers and acting teachers Uta Hagen and Herbert Berghof. The collection consists of thousands of pages of unpublished correspondence, diaries, scripts and manuscripts, photographs, clippings and other documentation relating to the dynamic theatrical careers of both Hagen and Berghof. This collection of professional and personal papers, spanning nearly 100 years of theater history, is being made public for the first time. To celebrate the bequest, the Library is planning a series of eight free public programs featuring many close friends and colleagues of Ms. Hagen and Mr. Berghof's including such figures as Harold Prince, Edward Albee, David Hyde Pierce and Eli Wallach. Programs take place in the Bruno Walter Auditorium in The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center located at 111 Amsterdam Avenue (between 64th and 65th streets). Submissions are now being accepted by The Living Room for Artists for the sixth annual Summer Play Festival (SPF), which will be presented at The Public Theater in New York City for a second year, July 7 through August 2, 2009.

Producers of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, The New Musical announce that Obie Award-winner and Rochester, NY native Donna Lynne Champlin (Sweeney Todd, Hollywood Arms, By Jeeves) will play the role of Jane Austen in the Broadway-bound musical's one-night-only performance event at Rochester's historic Eastman Theatre on Tuesday, October 21. Champlin joins previously-cast Colin Donnell (Jersey Boys, Follies) as Mr. Darcy.

Porchlight Music Theatre will present the beloved musical satire Candide at Theatre Building Chicago, 1225 West Belmont. The witty operetta based on the 1759 French masterpiece by Voltaire previews September 13, opens Sunday, September 14 at 2:30 p.m. and runs through November 2, 2008.

On Thursday, August 22, Trista Moldovan will take over the role of the beautiful, young soprano, Christine Daaé, in the U.S. National Tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera, the international award-winning musical directed by Harold Prince, now at Keller Auditorium in Portland, Oregon through September 7.
