Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Three Act Theatre announces its production of Chaundria & The Giant. This new musical written by Janine Robledo and Micah Joel will get its world premiere workshop production this winter. Directed by Eric Mark Olson, Co-Music Directed by Zachary Orts & Andrew David Sotomayor, Choreographed by Krista Saab, and featuring a talented cast of students & professionals led by Alyson Leigh Rosenfeld* and Adrian Rifat, the musical follows a giant trying to become a doctor and a hypochondriac/agoraphobic princess trying to live a solitary life. The two must wrestle with their inner (and outer) demons that stand in the way of their dreams while helping a medieval town battle the Black Plague. Chaundria & The Giant will have performances at Manhattan Movement & Arts Center (248 West 60th Street) on February 20th and 21st (with performances at 7pm both evenings.)
