Today, the Actors' Equity Foundation honored Katrina Lenk for her work in The Band's Visit and Indecent as well as Will Pullen from Sweat with the 2017 Clarence Derwent Award. In addition, the annual Actors' Equity Foundation Award honored union members Barbara Barrie for her work in Broadway's Significant Other and Anthony Chisholm for his work in this past season's riveting Jitney.

Primary Stages hosted its 2016 Gala celebrating the Horton Foote Centennial last night, October 17, 2016 at 6:30 pm at 583 Park Avenue. The even twas chaired by CharLes Davis, HAllie Foote, David Richenthal and Michael Wilson, and featured performances and tributes by Elizabeth Ashley, Harriet Harris, Jayne Houdyshell, Estelle Parsons (pictured, left) and Molly Ringwald. THE ROADS TO HOME is the first production in Primary Stages' 2016-17 season. In this collection of one-act plays, Horton Foote illustrates the lives of three Texan women in the 1920s as they struggle to understand what the concept of home means for each of them. THE ROADS TO HOME offers a rare chance to experience a Foote gem not seen on the New York stage in over 25 years and is directed by Foote's longtime collaborator, Michael Wilson.

Primary Stages to Present New York Premiere of Tanya Saracho's FADE

PRIMARY STAGES announced today that the New York premiere of FADE, written by Tanya Saracho (Mala Hierba) and directed by Jerry Ruiz (Basilica), will now play on the Primary Stages Mainstage in January of 2017 at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014). FADE will occupy the Mainstage slot previously held by CITIZEN: AN AMERICAN LYRIC, which will be postponed to allow for further development prior to its New York premiere. CITIZEN will have a developmental workshop at Arts Emerson in Boston in March 2017.
