On Monday, August 10th at 8pm, Upright Cabaret will present 'The Music of Scott Alan', an evening featuring the work of composer and lyricist, Scott Alan. This one night only concert will mark Alan's Los Angeles debut, and also be the first performance in Upright Cabaret's new venue at 'Upright Cabaret on Vermont' which is currently being renovated on Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.

The Laurie Beechman Theatre, located within The West Bank Caf? (407 West 42nd St.), is pleased to continue our Friday night soiree, THE AFTER PARTY. Now going strong it's third, THE AFTER PARTY is billed as 'a weekly schmoozefest for the theatrically inclined.' Every Friday from 10:30 pm until the wee hours, pros from Broadway and aspiring stars alike belt it out on the stage of The Laurie Beechman Theatre. Join hosts BRANDON CUTRELL (Bistor, MAC and Nightlife Award winner) and ALYSHA UMPHRESS (Make Me A Song) with RAY FELLMAN (Bistro Award winner) at the piano for this weekly party in the theatre district. The January 12th performance will feature selections from Alan's debut CD, 'Dreaming Wide Awake' and his recently released CD 'Keys.' Scheduled to appear at the 7pm concert include: Lisa Brescia, Heidi Blickenstaff, Jenn Colella, Erin Davie, Sutton Foster, Hadley Fraser, Nikki M. James, Marcus Paul James, Kenita Miller, Lauren Thomas, Katie Thompson, Natalie Weiss and The Broadway Boys.
