NBC will premiere its intriguing new drama AWAKE on Thursday, March 1 (10-11 p.m. ET), starring Jason Isaacs ('Harry Potter,' 'Brotherhood') as a detective who finds he is leading a complex double life that defies reality. The series will continue on Thursdays (10-11 p.m. ET).

Helping Michael to navigate his two realities are his bureau-assigned therapists Dr. Evans (Tony Award-winner Cherry Jones; THE HEIRESS, DOUBT) and Dr. Lee (Tony Award-winner B.D. Wong; M. BUTTERFLY). While both therapists work to untangle his two worlds, Michael has no interest in proving either one is false. But when memories of the accident begin to haunt him, he is forced to confront the truth about what really happened the night of the crash. At last night's ceremony of the 59th Annual Motion Picture Sound Editor's Golden Reel Awards, the sound editing teams of Hugo, The Muppets, Super 8, The Adventures of Tintin and War Horse were among the honorees at the prestigious event held at the Westin Bonaventure Hotel.

Woody Allen was given the WGA best original screenplay award for his Parisian journey through time, MIDNIGHT IN PARIS. The honor marks the fifth WGA award for the director who has won in the past for 'Annie Hall,' 'Broadway Danny Rose,' 'Hannah and Her Sisters' and 'Crimes and Misdemeneanors.' This year's nomination was his 20th.

The Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW) and the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) have announced nominations for outstanding achievement in television, news, radio, promotional writing, and graphic animation during the 2011 season. The winners will be honored at the 2012 Writers Guild Awards on Sunday, February 19, 2012, at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York.

British actor Damian Lewis (Band of Brothers) has signed on to star in the leading role opposite Claire Danes in SHOWTIME's new, one-hour drama pilot HOMELAND.

Deadline.com reports today that Mandy Patinkin will team up with Claire Danes for a new Showtime drama series, Homeland. According to the report: 'Homeland centers on American POW Scott Brody, who returns home 10 years after going missing in Iraq, and Carrie Anderson (Danes), a driven CIA officer who suspects he might be plotting an attack on America. Patinkin will play the smart and politically savvy CIA Division Chief emeritus Saul Berenson who is Carrie's main champion in the intelligence upper echelon and her sounding board.'
