The 64th Primetime Emmy Awards aired live coast to coast on Sunday, September 23 (8:00 - 11:00 p.m. ET) on ABC and originated from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles. The telecast was produced by Don Mischer Productions and hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. This was Kimmel's first time hosting the Primetime Emmy telecast. And the winners are...

Deadline reports that the ABC network has ordered a 'script commitment with significant penalty' to a new drama series to be titled CHOSEN. The project will be co-penned by 'Big Fish' scribe John August and Josh Friedman, developer and executive producer of 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.' August and Friedman will also executive produce.

According to Entertainment Weekly, stage and screen star F. Murray Abraham has signed on to appear in the second season of Showtime's 'Homeland.' Abraham will star as 'a brilliant intelligence operative in his 60-70's. He has worked all over the world for the Special Activities Division of the CIA.'

SHOWTIME will unveil the highly-anticipated second season premiere of its Golden Globe®-winning and Emmy® Award nominated hit series HOMELAND at an evening affair on the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum in New York City on Friday, September 7. The invitation-only premiere screening and reception, presented by Time Warner Cable, will roll out the red carpet for the show's star-studded cast, dignitaries and New York elite. This occasion marks the first entertainment event held in the new home to the historic Space Shuttle Enterprise. HOMELAND returns to SHOWTIME for its second season debut on Sunday, September 30th at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

A new promo for the upcoming second season of Showtime's hit drama series HOMELAND has been released. This morning, SHOWTIME was honored with 22 Emmy nominations across seven series, with HOMELAND nominated for nine Emmys - the most nominations of any freshman drama or comedy series this year, and the most nominations ever for a SHOWTIME series.

Nominations for this year's Primetime Emmy Awards were announced today, Thursday, July 19, from the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre at Television Academy headquarters in the NoHo Arts District of Los Angeles.

CBS, SHOWTIME and the CW will make their mark at Comic-Con 2012 with star-studded sessions and signings, including premiere screenings of new series and first looks at the new seasons of returning hits.

TV Guide Magazine reports that plans for a feature film based on the long-running Fox series 24 are definitely moving forward. Despite recent rumors that the project had been scrapped, executive producer Howard Gordon tells the magazine that the long-awaited movie will be produced.
