Out of Joint Artistic Director Max Stafford-Clark will revisit Timberlake Wertenbaker's Olivier Award winning play, OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD, in a new production touring the UK this autumn. Looking at the first British convict colony to land in Australia, OUR COUNTRY'S GOOD will launch at the Octagon Theatre Bolton on 3 September. The production will also visit London's newest venue, St James Theatre, in early 2013.

Opening MTC's 2012 Lawler Studio Season, BOY GIRL WALL by Matthew Ryan and Lucas Stibbard is a comic romp about love, where the universe conspires to bring two lost and lonely souls together. Lucas Stibbard stars in Boy Girl Wall, a role that earned him a Helpmann Award nomination. Following three sell-out seasons in Brisbane, Boy Girl Wall opens on Wednesday 18 April 2012 at 7.30pm at the MTC Theatre, Lawler Studio and runs until the 4 May.

Despite their best efforts, director Lauren Shouse and her amazingly talented cast just can't give Tracy Lett's Superior Donuts the emotional heft-the literary gravitas-that the playwright so mightily struggles for in his sitcomesque script which pales in comparison to his supposed masterpiece, August: Osage County. Clearly, it's the success of that earlier, heavily-decorated and awarded, Pulitzer Prize-winning play that most theatre companies are invoking as they attempt to sell tickets to this decidedly lesser work, hoping to capitalize on its success in hoodwinking an unsuspecting audience.
