Signature Theatre is proud to announce the cast of Sunday in the Park with George, the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award®-winning musical, directed by Signature Associate Artistic Director Matthew Gardiner(Signature's Dreamgirls, The Threepenny Opera). Running in the MAX Theatre August 15 - September 21, the Stephen Sondheim/James Lapine classic is the first production of Signature Theatre's 25th Anniversary. Studio Tenn's season finale production of the operatic epic 'Les Miserables' will celebrate Claude-Michel Schonburg's stirring, masterful score: the core of this sweeping contemporary phenomenon. Made into a major Hollywood motion picture in 2012, 'Les Mis' is the theatre title currently on everyone's lips. In Studio Tenn's production, the music, foremost, will triumph-its full majesty aptly showcased amid the grandeur of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center's acoustically unparalleled Laura Turner Hall on May 3 and 4, 2014.

Ford's Theatre Society just opened the Tony-winning musical 1776, directed by Peter Flynn, on March 9. The production runs though May 19, 2012. With 'quick-witted dialogue and a playful score,' 1776 dramatizes the impassioned debates of Philadelphia's Second Continental Congress and the writing of the Declaration of Independence. Washington D.C.'s Ford's Theatre has just anounced the cast for their upcoming production of 1776. Featuring direction by Peter Flynn and choreography by Michael Bobbitt, the production will run March 9 through May 19. The star studded cast will include Robert Cuccioli as John Dickinson, Brooks Ashmanskas as John Adams, William Diggle as Thomas Jefferson, Gregory Maheu as Edward Rutledge, and Tom Story as Charles Thomson.
