From 26 July - 12 August 2012, the Criterion Theatre will present Playing The Games, a programme of work which will celebrate both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians. Sam Hodges, Producer of the Criterion Theatre, has commissioned two new plays by emerging British playwrights Serge Cartwright and Adam Brace in response to the presence of the Olympic Games in London-After the Party and Taking Part, respectively. The Criterion Theatre will present PLAYING THE GAMES, a programme of work which will celebrate both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians.

As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Matthew Lewis, best known for playing Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter film series, will make his West End debut this autumn when he joins Cian Barry, Arthur Darvill and Laurence Fox in the cast of Our Boys at the Duchess Theatre (previews from 26 September). Now Jolyon Coy and Lewis Reeves have also joined the cast, according to the show's official website.

Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, announced the Festival's line-up, which runs from tonight, July 5 through August 5, 2012. Theater offerings include Mikhail Baryshnikov in Dmitry Krymov's staging of a new play, In Paris, as well as Sydney Theatre Company's acclaimed production of Uncle Vanya directed by Tamas Ascher and adapted by Andrew Upton. The stellar cast includes John Bell, Cate Blanchett, Hayley McElhinney, Richard Roxburgh, and Hugo Weaving.

Starring Patricia Hodge and Nicholas Le Prevost, DANDY DICK by Arthur Wing Pinero will have its opening tonight, July 3. This Theatre Royal Brighton Productions and Ambassador Theatre Group collaboration kicks off the first of many planned classic plays to tour the country's best playhouses nationwide before the West End.

A highlight of Lincoln Center Festival will be DruidMurphy, three plays (Conversations on a Homecoming, A Whistle in the Dark, and Famine) by Tom Murphy, staged by Garry Hynes for Druid Theatre Company from July 5-14 in the Gerald W. Lynch Theater. Following an immensely acclaimed world premiere at the Galway Arts Festival this past summer, St. Ann's Warehouse and Imagine Ireland will present the American Premiere of Misterman, November 30-December 21 at St. Ann's Warehouse. Murphy makes his American stage debut with a tour-de-force solo performance in this Landmark Productions / Galway Arts Festival co-production, his first collaboration with playwright/director Enda Walsh since Disco Pigs, which launched both men's careers 15 years ago.
