From 26 July - 12 August 2012, the Criterion Theatre will present Playing The Games, a programme of work which will celebrate both artistic and sporting talent featuring emerging and established actors, comedians, musicians, playwrights and Olympians. Sam Hodges, Producer of the Criterion Theatre, has commissioned two new plays by emerging British playwrights Serge Cartwright and Adam Brace in response to the presence of the Olympic Games in London-After the Party and Taking Part, respectively. As BroadwayWorld previously announced, Matthew Lewis, best known for playing Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter film series, will make his West End debut this autumn when he joins Cian Barry, Arthur Darvill and Laurence Fox in the cast of Our Boys at the Duchess Theatre (previews from 26 September). Now Jolyon Coy and Lewis Reeves have also joined the cast, according to the show's official website.
Nigel Redden, Director of Lincoln Center Festival, announced the Festival's line-up, which runs from tonight, July 5 through August 5, 2012. Murphy makes his American stage debut with a tour-de-force solo performance in this Landmark Productions / Galway Arts Festival co-production, his first collaboration with playwright/director Enda Walsh since Disco Pigs, which launched both men's careers 15 years ago.
