Jeffrey Tambor has withdrawn from the Tony Award-winning revival of LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, following the Thursday, February 24 performance. Tambor started performances on Tuesday, February 15 in the role of Georges, opposite four-time Tony Award winner Harvey Fierstein as Albin.
The always pleasing Gregg Edelman is an actor with a special knack for revealing the educated, articulate side of America's Average Joe and in Black Tie, A.R. Gurney's latest comedy inspired by his WASPy Buffalo upbringing, that talent is put to exceptional use.
By popular demand, Primary Stages (Casey Childs, Founder & Executive Producer; Andrew Leynse, Artistic Director; Elliot Fox, Managing Director), has announced a one-week extension for the final production of the 2010-2011 season: the World Premiere of the new comedy, Black Tie by A.R. Gurney. Originally scheduled to end its limited run on Sunday, March 20th, Black Tie will now play through Sunday afternoon, March 27th at 3:00p.m.

Gurney on the occasion of the opening night of his new play Black Tie. Gurney was surprised with the honor during the curtain call of the opening night performance when the official proclamation was read aloud by Black Tie cast member Gregg Edelman onstage.
