Gerard McCarthy will take on the lead role in Stalking the Bogeyman, the extraordinary true story of award-winning journalist David Holthouse's secret plot to murder the man who raped him when he was seven years old.
Cassidy Janson, of London's WICKED, will take over the title role in BEAUTIFUL: THE CAROLE KING MUSICAL from Katie Brayben, starting November 30, 2015 at the Aldwych Theatre.
Award-winning composer Dougal Irvine (Departure Lounge, Teddy) and major entertainment agent Stuart Piper of Cole Kitchenn complete the faculty line-up for this year's Onstage Acts summer course. Dougal will lead a session exploring his own material, giving a unique insight into the mind of the composer, and Stuart will lead an exclusive and invalu- able Q&A session. Sony pictures confirmed today that 'The film version of 'Beautiful' will be produced by Tom Hanks; Gary Goetzman, a producer whose movie credits include 'Mamma Mia!' in 2008; and Paul Blake, the lead producer of 'Beautiful' on Broadway. Douglas McGrath, who wrote the book for the stage production, will work on the screenplay.'
