The Drama League has announced Drama League nominee Megan Hilty (9 To 5, "Smash") and Justin Long (Seminar) will co-host the announcement of the The 2012 Drama League Nominees for Distinguished Production of a Play, Distinguished Production of a Musical, Distinguished Revival of a Play, Distinguished Revival of a Musical, and the much coveted Distinguished Performance Award on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Sardi's. As in years past, the nominations ceremony will be broadcast worldwide via live stream right here on BroadwayWorld!

Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's 12th Annual Monte Cristo Award honoring Michael Douglas will be presented during a gala dinner at the Edison Ballroom in New York City tonight, Monday, April 16th at 6:30pm.

"Les Liaisons Dangereuses," by Christopher Hampton, plays Newnan Theatre Company's Black Box April 19-29 Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 pm, Sundays at 3pm. The drama originated from a French epistolary novel by Choderlos de Laclos, first published in 1782. The two main characters, both so rich they have no concept of the value of money, feel they are above the law and free to play by their own rules. They pretend in public to be all they should be, but behind closed doors they reveal themselves as they truly are.

Just announced is word that the 2012 Tony Awards Nominations Announcement will be co-hosted by Tony winning actress Kristin Chenoweth and Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actor Jim Parsons on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Actor/singer Rich Hebert will open tonight, Thursday, April 12, at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood for Broadway LA in the second national tour and the Los Angeles premiere of Billy Elliot, playing Billy's dad.

Legendary film director Peter Bogdanovich attended FREUD'S LAST SESSION at New World Stages this past Saturday, April 7th to see George Morfogen and Jim Stanek, who recently joined the production as Sigmund Freud and C. S. Lewis respectively. FREUD'S LAST SESSION is the winner of the 2011 Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best Play and additional productions are already set to open into 2013 in major markets across the nation and around the world. Posin is directing the project that he co-wrote with scribe Matthew McDuffie. Mockingbird Pictures' Julie Lynn and Bonnie Curtis are producers. Principal photography begins shooting in Los Angeles on April 9.

The Drama League has announced that this year's 78th Annual Drama League Awards will be hosted by Tony Award winners Stockard Channing (Other Desert Cities) and John Larroquette (Gore Vidal's The Best Man). The awards ceremony is set for Friday afternoon, May 18th at the Marriott Marquis Times Square (1535 Broadway) at Noon. This year's Drama League Award Nominees will be announced Tuesday morning, April 24th at Sardi's.

Award-winning Mosaic Theatre has announced that Ariel Dorfman's Olivier Award Winning play and recent London hit, Death and the Maiden, makes its Regional Premiere through April 1.
