Beloved folk/indie blend Broadway musical ONCE will, once more, hit the road.

Happy New Year, BroadwayWorld! As we eagerly anticipate the amazing musicals and plays coming up in 2016, we're taking a moment to look back at the significant Broadway closings of 2015.

Over the past few years acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard has organized the "Christmas Busk" on Grafton Street in Dublin, as a simple way to gather friends and play music.

People have been 'Falling Slowly' in love with ONCE ever since composers Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova first enchanted audiences in 2007 with their tender, surprise hit indie romance. Now fans of the film and equally successful Tony Award-winning Broadway musical adaptation have one last chance to fall in love all over again as the current Broadway national tour comes to an end in Boston on December 27.

With its first national tour wrapped, beloved folk/indie blend Broadway musical ONCE will, once more, hit the road. A new national tour of the eight-time Tony winning musical will launch in January 2016 in Utica, NY, before traveling coast-to-cast, with stops in Los Angeles, Detroit and more planned. ROCK OF AGES alum Sam Cieri and Boston Conservatory student Mackenzie Lesser-Roy will lead the cast. The company just met the press and BroadwayWorld is taking you inside the special day below!

The musical ONCE is about people connecting through music. On Wednesday, December 9 at 12:30 PM, the Citi Performing Arts Center (CPAC) is planning to make that happen in a big way, at the Citi Shubert Theatre.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Glen Hansard performed "Lowly Deserter" last Friday night on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert." The song is taken from Hansard's latest album 'Didn't He Ramble'
