Lead producers Michael Cohl and Jeremiah J. Harris announced today that tickets have gone on sale for the 8:00 p.m. preview performance on Monday, February 7th. The performance was previously reserved for the show's opening night. In addition, as of today, tickets are now on sale for performances of SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark through Sunday, May 8th. Directed by Julie Taymor and featuring a book by Julie Taymor and Glen Berger, and new music and lyrics by U2's Bono and The Edge, SPIDER-MAN Turn Off The Dark is now in previews at Broadway's Foxwoods Theatre (213 West 42nd Street).

Playwrights Horizons (Tim Sanford, Artistic Director; Leslie Marcus, Managing Director) presents the World Premiere of A SMALL FIRE, a new play by Obie Award winner Adam Bock (The Drunken City at PH, The Receptionist, The Thugs, Swimming in the Shallows). Directed by Trip Cullman (Adam Bock's The Drunken City at PH and Swimming in the Shallows, plus Bachelorette, Some Men, The Last Sunday in June, the recent Edgewise, Adam Rapp's upcoming The Hallway Trilogy) the production will close Sunday, January 23 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

According to Ew.com, T.V. Carpio has revealed that SPIDER-MAN director Julie Taymor is making 'major changes in the second act, which will make things more clear and better.' One of those 'major changes' includes the fight between her character, Arachne and Peter Parker.

The TV network is reporting that SPIDER-MAN was left hanging in the air for several minutes during Wednesday's matinee performance. Witnesses say that he was left hanging in mid-air while the show was stopped, but that thankfully no one was hurt.

Deadline.com has just announced that SPIDER-MAN's Bono and The Edge have recruited British record producer Steve Lillywhite to assist the creative team in working with the cast on the multi-million dollar mega-musical. Lillywhite has collaborated with U2 on 8 of their hit albums. Writes Deadline's Mike Flemming: 'I'm told that he's been a fixture this week at the Foxwoods Theatre, helping the cast with the songs penned by Bono and The Edge as they prepare for the February 7 opening...'

Michael Colh, lead producer on Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark has revealed to the Wall Street Journal that the final version of the show's finale has yet to be incorporated into the show and has not yet been seen by anyone - himself included. Cohl tells the Journal: 'The actual ending that we have planned is still not in the show,' he said. 'Nobody's seen it - including us, by the way.' When asked if the show's February 7 opening date was still set, Cohl vaguely replied: 'It's life-I don't expect it to [change], but it's life.'
