Gershon, Glover et. al to Star in 'Five Minarets in New York'

Gina Gershon, Danny Glover, and Robert Patrick will star in the independent movie 'Five Minarets in New York,' the Hollywood Reporter reports. The film, to be written and directed by Mahsun Kirmizigul (Turkey's 'I Saw the Sun'), is the story of Maria (Gershon), the wife of a Turkish scholar who is arrested for a crime that he did not commit.

The Barrow Group Theatre Company presents its 16th Annual Celebrity Doodles Auction & Gala on Monday, May 10th, 2010. Each year celebrities donate their artwork, or doodles, that are auctioned off in this annual fundraiser, at which The Barrow Group also honors individuals for their service to the arts and TBG. This year's honorees include Jon Marans and David Diamond.

The event raises much-needed funds for the women-specific services of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. This year's event will feature a special performance by Heart and Linda Perry, and special appearances by Renee Zellweger, and Sarah Silverman. The dinner menu will be designed by Jamie Lauren of 'Top Chef.'
