Producer Danna Hyams has announced that Broadway favorite John Bolton has joined a star-studded cast that includes Gerard Canonico, Justin Guarini, Rachel Bay Jones, Michael Rupert, Brynn Williams and Emmy Winner Sally Struthers in two special reading presentations of Bret Simmons and David Howard's new musical THE FIRST GENTLEMAN at Shetler Studios, 244 West 54th Street, on Monday, February 22th at 3:00 PM and 6:30 PM.

Following multiple sold out engagements, Charlie Rosen's Broadway Big Band returns to the intimate Manhattan venue Feinstein's/ 54 Below on Saturday February 20th to continue an official residence for 2015. The 9:30 PM concert, helmed by director Max Friedman, features guest vocalists Gerard Canonico (Spring Awakening, American Idiot), Nicholas Christopher (Motown The Musical, Lazarus), Matt Doyle (The Book of Mormon, Spring Awakening), Tony Award Nominee Bryce Pinkham (Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, The Heidi Chronicles), Alysha Umphress (On The Town, American Idiot), and more TBA. Friedman and Rosen co-produce the series.

The lineup is complete for Broadway Sings Billy Joel, the 10th installment of the star-studded BROADWAY SINGS concert series. A cast of 20 Broadway stars will sing completely new arrangements of the Piano Man's greatest hits. The performers will be accompanied by a jazz orchestra playing original orchestrations. Previous artists honored in the series include Adele, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, and Sara Bareilles.

Ghostlight Records and Two River Theater announce the release of the Original Cast Recording of the new musical BE MORE CHILL, with physical CDs in stores and online today, December 18.

Vineyard Theatre's 2015-2016 season began Wednesday, November 11 at 8pm when the new musical comedy GIGANTIC began previews at The Acorn Theatre @ Theatre Row (410 West 42nd Street), where it plays through December 20. GIGANTIC features a book by Randy Blair (PEREZ HILTON SAVES THE UNIVERSE, SPIDERMUSICAL) and Tim Drucker (PEREZ HILTON SAVES THE UNIVERSE, SPIDERMUSICAL), music by Matthew roi Berger (SPIDERMUSICAL), lyrics by Randy Blair, choreography by Chase Brock (SPIDER-MAN TURN OFF THE DARK) and will be directed by Scott Schwartz (BAT BOY: THE MUSICAL). National Alliance for Musical Theatre (Betsy King Militello, Executive Director) is thrilled to announce the cast for the SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE and the SONGWRITERS CABARET at the 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16. Both events take place at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues).
