2015 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee, Ricky Byrd will bring his Clean Getaway All Stars to the Warner's Nancy Marine Studio Theatre on September 19 at 8 pm. This concert will benefit The McCall Foundation of Torrington, a local drug and alcohol treatment center.

The Sydney Fringe Festival has released details and opened ticket sales for the full 2015 program, presented from 1 until 30 September at 50 partner venues across inner Sydney. Stella Abrera and Misty Copeland have been promoted to the rank of Principal Dancer with American Ballet Theatre and Skylar Brandt, Thomas Forster, Arron Scott and Cassandra Trenary have been promoted to Soloist effective August 1, 2015.   In addition, Maria Kochetkova, a principal dancer with San Francisco Ballet and Alban Lendorf, a principal dancer with Royal Danish Ballet will join the Company as Principal Dancers and Jeffrey Cirio, a principal dancer with Boston Ballet, will join ABT as a Soloist, it was announced today by Artistic Director Kevin McKenzie.

Heightening its role as a powerful commissioning force, Glorya Kaufman Presents Dance at The Music Center - The Music Center's acclaimed dance series - is introducing an exciting new chapter in dance with the world premiere of BalletNow, an original three-performance program for which American Ballet Theatre Principals Roberto Bolle and Herman Cornejo are serving as artistic directors. Bolle and Cornejo have formed an international ensemble of 18 major dancers from 12 foreign countries for three distinctive performances, with many of the dancers performing at The Music Center and in Southern California for the first time.

With her new show at the Metropolitan Room that opened last night—Groupies: The Muses Behind the Legends of Rock & Roll--the usually smart and meticulous Lauren Fox (as evidenced by her shows that celebrated the music of Joni Mitchell and Leonard Cohen and later the Pop/Rock that emerged from Laurel Canyon in the 1960s) has here chosen questionable territory--the celebration of women who serially slept their way through the music business or, as Fox more poetically says, “Made it their life's mission to meet the beautiful boys who made the music that moved them.” Hook-ups are exemplified by often unappealing numbers (too much monotone) and bridged with quotes by groupies whose role as “muses” or sources of creative inspiration seems a stretch.

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM - Internationally acclaimed collector and curator, Raj Prem, and London-based photography mecca, Proud Galleries, announced a new show featuring images of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, and The Rolling Stones which is set to open next week. A special treat for visitors will be a number of astonishing, rare prints based on Dominique Tarlé's beautifully evocative photographs from Villa Nellcôte, where The Rolling Stones, escaping the UK's punitive tax regime in 1971, decamped and recorded 'Exile On Main Street'.

On May 18, GPGDS will release Bright Days on Easy Star Records. Like Steady, the album was recorded at Rear Window Studio in Brookline, MA, and produced by Craig Welsch (10 Ft. Ganja Plant).
