Cleveland Play House's newly announced 2017-18 Season contains a wide range of work certain to captivate, enlighten, excite and engage Cleveland audiences. With characters ranging from rebels and outsiders, to misfits, revolutionaries and geniuses, audiences will be swept up into the stories of one and all, and will be reminded that the most efficient way to resolve conflict whether on the stage or in life, is through collaboration.  

Williams Street Repertory Brings Dark Comedy to the Stage with Chicago Premiere of George Brant's ANY OTHER NAME

WSR is excited to bring the work of award-winning playwright George Brant to the stage with the Chicago Premiere of "Any Other Name." WSR's production of the dark comedy opens March 17, 2017 at Raue Center For The Arts and runs through April 2, 2017. WSR will then transfer the show to Chicago's Theater Wit, where "Any Other Name" will run from April 21, 2017 through April 30, 2017.

Kelli O'Hara, Jonas Kaufmann, Joyce DiDonato Will Highlight Met Opera's 2017-18 Season

The Metropolitan Opera's 2017-18 season will feature 220 performances of 26 works, including two Met premieres, one co-commissioned by the company and one an older masterpiece having its first Met performances; a variety of repertory favorites, three in new productions; and performances of Verdi's towering concert work for soloists, orchestra, and chorus, the Requiem. Of note, Broadway star Kelli O'Hara is set to return to the Met in Così fan tutte this season.

WSR is excited to bring a 2015 LAB Series selection to the Mainstage with the Chicago Premiere of "Any Other Name." The dark comedy by award-winning playwright George Brant opens March 17, 2017 at Raue Center For The Arts and runs select dates through April 2, 2017. In addition to performances in downtown Crystal Lake, "Any Other Name" transfers to Chicago's Theater Wit April 21, 2017 and runs select dates through April 30, 2017.

Milwaukee Repertory Theater  presents the riveting new play, Grounded, by George Brant in the Stiemke Studio, February 22 - April 2, 2017.   This palpitating one-woman show features Jessie Fisher whose credits include Girl in Broadway's Once and most recently Steppenwolf Theatre Company's Constellations and Of Mice and Men.  Directed by Milwaukee native Laura Braza (Artistic Director of Attic Theater Company, NY), Grounded tells the tale of an ace fighter pilot who finds herself grounded when an unexpected pregnancy puts her career on hold. When she returns to the pilot's seat, she finds that she's now part of the "chair force," flying drones and dropping bombs on enemy combatants in Afghanistan from the comfort of an air conditioned trailer in Las Vegas. She may find hunting terrorists by day and being a mother by night her toughest assignment yet.

Raleigh Little Theatre's Three-Play Series WOMEN AND WAR Showcases the Roles and Experiences of Women During Times of War

Raleigh Little Theatre presents "Women and War", a three-play series as part of the Season of Discovery, which will run throughout the month of May. This series includes three plays - 'A Piece of My Heart,' 'Downrange: Voices from the Homefront' and 'Grounded' as well as a workshop for military families dedicated to creating personal narratives. All three plays will be presented in the Gaddy-Goodwin Teaching Theatre.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble Presents the World Premiere of WINTER by Julie Jensen

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the world premiere of Winter by Julie Jensen. The production, co-directed by RTE members Megan Carney and Mark Ulrich,runs January 7 - February 11, 2017, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago.  The press opening is Monday, January 16, 2017 at 7:00pm.
