PETER PAN Sells 50,000 Seats In SF In Advance Of May 9 Opening

Following sell-outs, in both Kensington Gardens and The O2 in London last year, Three Sixty Entertainment's production of 'PETER PAN' has moved lock, stock and barrel to San Francisco, where it is to be performed in Ferry Park, with previews beginning on 27 April.

The tale of the Cockney girl-turned-aristocrat comes to life at Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre. Pierrot Productions presents the celebrated Broadway musical, 'My Fair Lady,' Fridays, May 7 and 14 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, May 8 and 15 at 2 and 8 p.m.; and Sundays, May 9 and 16 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is conveniently located on Mercer's West Windsor campus at 1200 Old Trenton Road.

Wendy Moore to Pen Novel Based on Real Life Eliza Doolittle

Wendy Moore, author of the popular novel 'Wedlock,' will pen a novel based on real life Eliza Doolittle, Sabrina Sidney, the basis for the George Bernard Shaw play Pygmalion and the hit Lerner and Lowe musical, My Fair Lady. The novel, entitled 'How to Create the Perfect Wife,' is currently in publication negotiations.

Off-Broadway's Irish Repertory Theatre will end its run of CANDIDA -- George Bernard Shaw's classic about a clergyman and his wife who captures the attention of a young poet -- on April 18th at the Irish Repertory Theatre in Manhattan. Tony and Oscar Award-winner Tony Walton, who helmed the Irish Repertory's acclaimed revivals of Shaw's THE DEVIL'S DISCIPLE and MAJOR BARBARA, directed the run of the show.

The A.C.T. Master of Fine Arts (M.F.A.) Program and Young Conservatory present the world premiere production of Riot, celebrated Irish playwright Ursula Rani Sarma's hard-hitting play, in the newest commission from A.C.T.'s international partnership with Britain's Theatre Royal Bath. Directed by Young Conservatory Director Craig Slaight and featuring young actors from the A.C.T. M.F.A. Program and Young Conservatory, Riot follows the story of a young man who lands in a residency clinic for emotionally disturbed teens following an unexpected act of violence. Riot weaves Max's relationships with his fellow patients, his doctor, and his nurses into a moving portrait of the deep human need for connection. The show plays April 1-17, 2010, at Zeum Theater, located at Yerba Buena Gardens (Fourth and Howard streets). Tickets are $15.50-$20.50 and are available by calling A.C.T. NY Public Library to Tape Irish Rep CANDIDA For Archives

The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Theatre on Film and Tape Archive (TOFT) is to tape the Irish Repertory Theatre's hit revival of George Bernard Shaw's CANDIDA on April 21. As previously announced, the acclaimed production, which recently received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for Outstanding Revival, has been extended until Sunday, April 25 at the Irish Repertory Theatre (132 West 22nd Street) in Manhattan.

Writers' Theatre Artistic Director Michael Halberstam and Executive Director Kathryn M. Lipuma announce that A Minister's Wife, Writers' Theatre's musical adapted from George Bernard Shaw's Candida, will be produced by Lincoln Center Theater in the 2010-11 season. The original musical was conceived and directed by Michael Halberstam, adapted by Austin Pendleton with music by Joshua Schmidt and lyrics by Jan Tranen. The Lincoln Center production will be directed by Halberstam. Performances begin on Thursday, April 7, 2011 and opens on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65 Street, New York City).

Geffen Playhouse to Feature RUINED, LaBute et al. in 2010-2011

The Geffen Playhouse's 2010 / 2011 season builds on successful relationships with playwrights who have worked at the Geffen Playhouse in the past - Jane Anderson, Hershey Felder and Neil LaBute, and welcomes the newer voices of Pulitzer Prize winners Tracy Letts and Lynn Nottage. The first season in the newly named Gil Cates Theater, this collection of plays tackles often polarizing issues ranging from faith to war to sex. The season opens with Lynn Nottage's multi-award winning drama Ruined, continues with the crowd pleaser Hershey Felder in Maestro: The Art of Leonard Bernstein, then kicks off the new year with the world premiere of Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon, followed by the world premiere of Jane Anderson's The Escort (a Geffen Playhouse commission), and concludes with the West coast premiere of Tracy Lett's Superior Donuts.
