On July 20, 2009, The New York Innovative Theatre Foundation, the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, celebrated it?s fifth birthday and announced the 2009 nominees at its annual sold-out event at the Carmine Street Recreation Center located at 25 Carmine Street.

Playwrights Theater Stage A NEW THEORY OF VISION 3/18- 4/11

Sanctuary: Playwrights Theater (www.sanctuarytheatre.org) will stage Bob Jude Ferrante's 'A New Theory of Vision' at the Kraine Theater, 85 East 4th Street (between Bowery & Second Avenue). The play will run from March 18th through April 11th, Wednesday through Saturday at 8:00 p.m. Cat Parker directs; the play stars Eric Percival as Lee, Maeve Yore as Cara, Matt Steiner as Erich, Julian Elfer as Ted, and Brooke Eddey as Jane, with Sonya Tsuchigane and Lawrence Cantor. T. Schreiber Studio Presents THE REAL THING 2/19-3/29

Celebrating its 40th Anniversary, T. Schreiber Studio will present a production of Tom Stoppard's dazzling romantic comedy The Real Thing at The Gloria Maddox Theater, 151 West 26th Street, 7th Floor from February 19th to March 29th. Directed by Terry Schreiber, director of the Tony-nominated play K2, as well as The Trip Back Down (starring John Cullum) and Devour the Snow on Broadway, The Real Thing is Stoppard's multi-layered look at love, passion, adultery, and marriage. The full-scale, profession production will feature members of the T. Schreiber Company.

Freedman's 'Sister Cities' Plays 5-Week Engagement

'6969' & 'Rat Experiment' Among Winners of NY IT Awards

On September 24, 2007, the IT Awards (New York Innovative Theatre Awards), the organization dedicated to celebrating Off-Off-Broadway, announced the 2007 award recipients at a spectacular evening hosted by Julie Halston. The awards were announced last evening at 7PM in FIT's Haft Auditorium located in Building C of FIT's campus on 27th Street (bwt 7/8 aves) to a standing room only crowd.
