Celebrating the 40th anniversary of Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler's ground-breaking musical masterpiece, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, returned to the Australian stage. This new concert production played for six performances in Sydney followed by six in Melbourne.

Anthony Warlow returns to the Australian musical theatre stage to take on the dark twisted tale of SWEENEY TODD: THE DEMON BARBER OF FLEET STREET. In celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Stephen Sondheim(music and lyrics) and Hugh Wheeler's (book) multi award winning musical's Broadway premiere in 1979, director Theresa Borg presents the piece in an elaborately staged concert with a new twist.

The winner of the 2016 Rob Guest Endowment Award was announced last night at a thrilling Grand Final Concert at the Sydney Lyric Theatre

The 2016 Rob Guest Endowment Grand Final Concert will be held on Monday 14 November at the Sydney Lyric Theatre. The concert will be hosted by Lucy Durack and Penny McNamee, who both worked with Rob Guest in his final show,Wicked. Guest artists performing at the concert will include pop sensation Paulini, principal cast members from Aladdin, the Helpmann Award winning Molly Barwick, Sasha Rose, Georgia Taplin and Bella Thomas who originated the role of Matilda in Australia, past winners Samantha Leigh Dodemaide and Blake Bowden, 2015 Rob Guest Endowment winnerDaniel Assetta, and cast members from Dream Lover - The Bobby Darin Musical.
