BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER and 'TOM SAWYER' Set for SteppingStone in 2012-2013

SteppingStone Theatre, St. Paul's premiere youth theatre, announces its 25th Anniversary Season. According to Artistic Director Richard Hitchler -- 'We're celebrating our great history, and looking forward to a fantastic future. This season's productions will continue SteppingStone Theatre's tradition of shows that highlight the imagination and creativity of our professionally-trained youth performers.

SteppingStone Presents A LITTLE PRINCESS, Closes 11/6

Frances Hodgson Burnet's classic tale A Little Princess takes on a musical spin in this new production by playwright Jenna Zark with original music by composer Gary Rue. Sarah Crewe, is a rich-girl-turned-orphan whose stories save her and those around her when life becomes too harsh. Set in Victorian England, Sarah and the others at Miss Minchin¹s school find there is power and redemption in make-believe, love, and each other.

SteppingStone Theatre Presents Special Opening For THE STINKY CHEESE MAN 7/9-8/1

SteppingStone Theatre is planning a special Opening Night Celebration for the play The Stinky Cheese Man. The play's music director and renowned local artist, Gary Rue, resplendent in tuxedo, will play music from the play and other SteppingStone productions on the piano in the lobby from 6:15-7:00 pm.

BUDDY-The Buddy Holly Story Comes To The History Theatre Plays Through 11/1

History Theatre partners with McNally Smith College of Music to produce Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story a show that is part biography, part rock 'n' roll concert which follows the bespectacled musician on this meteoric rise from a rebellious country singer to a rock 'n' roll icon and pioneer in the 1950s, ending with the unforgettable concert with Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper in Clear Lake, Iowa - the day the music died.
