Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts has announced the initial set of performances scheduled for its highly anticipated 2013 summer season, the first under the supervision of Arvind Manocha, Wolf Trap's new President and CEO. The shows booked to date include 21 different acts and nearly 30 individual performances from a wide array of genres and art forms, including pop, rock, R&B, classical, comedy, musical theatre, films, and more. Other Artists in the lineup include The Charlie Thomas Drifters, The Platters, the 5th Dimension starring Florence LaRue, Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Dennis Edwards and The Temptations Review, pop oldies icon Gary Lewis and The Playboys, A Tribute to the Drifters starring Bobby Hendricks, country music stars Daryle Singletary and Aaron Tippin, Grand Ole Opry Hall of Fame inductee Lorrie Morgan, the Silver Screen Cowboy Show, Latin heartthrob Jon Secada and American Idol finalist, Matt Giraud. The new National Theatre of Scotland, which produced its first production in February 2006, will be heading in to England for the staging of two of its productions in London - Anthony Neilson's The Wonderful World Of Dissocia and Pol Heyvaert's Aalst (a new version by Duncan McLean). This means that there will be a total of two National Theatre companies playing London in Spring 2007, with England's own National Theatre already well-established on the South Bank.
