AVENUE Q Opens at York Little Theatre, Nov 9
by BWW News Desk
- Oct 25, 2012
Don't let the muppet-like celebrity puppet stars of Avenue Q fool you -- this is not your children's Broadway smash hit. Avenue Q, presented by York Little Theatre November 9 - 18, is an irreverent musical about urban adults struggling with careers, relationships, and frustrations. It has decidedly adult themes of sexuality, racism, political correctness, and hypocrisy but addresses them with great humor and abundant heart.

BWW Reviews: Boulder's Dinner Theatre's AVENUE Q - Good, But Not Great
by Michael Mulhern
- Oct 12, 2012
Boulder's Dinner Theatre presents the Tony award winning hit AVENUE Q (Music and Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and Book by Jeff Whitty) playing now through November 3rd in Boulder, CO. Okay, time for some honesty and confession - there has been a little hesitation for writing this review. Ultimately, it is time for a little tough love. As a critic, I am supposed to remain impartial but sometimes that is hard when we become invested in each play and the progress and setbacks of a company. Even though I am not supposed to show it, I must admit that each theater company holds a special place in my heart. I am thrilled when a company moves to a bigger performance space, add additional shows to their season or snags a regional or world premiere and am devastated when some have to shut down and their lights are extinguished forever.

'The Will: Family Secrets Revealed' Gets a Facelift for Season Three, Featuring Celebrity Stories and Famous Family Feuds
by Robert Diamond
- Sep 12, 2012
And you thought celebrities led dramatic lives? Just wait until they die for the real drama to begin. THE WILL: FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED returns this October, featuring the outrageousness that abounds when the famous depart. With royalties and residuals up for grabs, celebrities leave behind a lot more than a mansion full of cash - they also have managers, mom-agers, mistresses, and family members who all want a piece of the pie. This new season runs the gamut in spotlighting superstars like Ritchie Valens, an up-and-comer who died young and will-less; Jerry Garcia, whose grateful heart promised too much to too many; and even child star Gary Coleman, who left behind a messy estate plan that pitted his ex-wife against his former best friend. In the premiere episode, THE WILL examines the estate of Tammy Wynette, the queen of country music. When her four daughters realized they had been denied their inheritance, they began questioning the events surrounding their mother's death, and launched a $50-million wrongful death lawsuit against their stepfather and their mother's physician. When the personalities are big but the pocketbooks are even bigger, now that's when things get really interesting. Season three of THE WILL: FAMILY SECRETS REVEALED premieres Thursday, October 18 at 9 PM (ET) on Investigation Discovery.
