BWW Reviews: MJR Theatricals | Music Box Musicals' AVENUE Q is Hysterical Fun

In 2003, a certain green girl flew on Broadway for the first time. In the same year, a handful of plucky performers with some ostentatiously crass puppets opened a smaller show Off-Broadway. They transferred to Broadway months before the witches of Oz made their big splash and later surprised everyone when they grabbed the coveted Triple Crown at the 2004 Tony Awards. Taking home the Tony for Best Book, Best Score, and Best Musical, AVENUE Q was truly defying gravity. More than 10 years later, the show is still running in New York City at Off-Broadway's New World Stages and in Houston Michael J. Ross's MJR Theatricals | Music Box Musicals' production is giddily showcasing why the musical has such pronounced staying power.

Lucy T. Slut & Puppeteer Tell All at Long Beach Playhouse Studio Theater

The popular, funny and slightly edgy musical, Avenue Q continues to run in the Long Beach Playhouse Studio Theater through November 16, 2013? By now most people know the play is a coming of age story told by puppets eerily reminiscent of Sesame Street. But these puppets live a few metaphorical blocks away on Avenue Q. Unlike a puppet show in which the human puppeteers are not part of the action, in Avenue Q, the audience gets the equivalent of a two-for-the-price-of-one experience as both the puppet and the puppeteer are part of the cast.

Stellar West End And TV Stars Bring AVENUE Q To Theatre Royal Windsor For A “Monster” Halloween Production

Magic Mirror Productions will bring the smash hit West End and Tony award Winning Musical AVENUE Q to Theatre Royal Windsor. Dubbed 'the Musical of The Decade' by the Sunday Times newspaper, Avenue Q is a hybrid of South Park and the Muppet Show in an all singing, all dancing musical 'fur-fest' that is sure to have you crying with laughter and roaring with joy!

AVNEUE Q to Close Long Beach Playhouse's Studio 2013 Season, 10/19-11/16

The Long Beach Playhouse Studio Theatre has been known as the place to see cutting edge, comteporary theatre. This is never as true as when puppets have sex, Gary Coleman is the neighborhood guru and Monsters are good. Avenue Q closes out the Studio season with a bang!

Ignite Theatre's AVENUE Q to Open this Friday, 10/4

'Avenue Q' is a laugh-out-loud musical that tells the timeless story of a recent college grad named Princeton who moves into a shabby New York apartment all the way out on Avenue Q.
