Broadway's award-winning best musical, The Lion King, welcomes Stephen Carlile as Scar beginning performances tonight, Tuesday, January 31st, 2017. Carlile makes his Broadway debut, having originated the role of Scar on the UK tour of The Lion King.

Disney Theatrical Productions and the New Orleans Theatre Association announced today tickets for the long-awaited engagement of Disney's THE LION KING will go on sale to the public Friday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. The show will leap onto the Saenger Theatre stage for the first time Wednesday, Jan. 4, for a limited engagement of four weeks through Sunday, Jan. 29. THE LION KING is a subscription option of the East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2016 - 2017 season.

For 10 days from Thursday, September 15 through Saturday, September 24, the 2016 First Niagara Rochester Fringe Festival drew more than an estimated* 67,000 visitors (compared to 63,000 in 2015) to downtown Rochester to celebrate artistic expression in all of its forms.
