Jefferson Performing Arts Society's (JPAS) 15th Annual Pasta & Puccini Gala will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at InterContinental New Orleans, 444 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. Doors will open at 6:30PM. Gala patrons will enjoy an evening of world class entertainment, delicious food donated by a wide array of local restaurants and caterers and exciting auctions to the music of the great Giacomo Puccini. Proceeds from this annual fundraiser will benefit the Jefferson Performing Arts Society's annual theatrical productions and arts outreach programming that annually enrich and serve over 20,000 arts patrons and reach over 10,000 youth throughout five parishes in Southern Louisiana.

Jefferson Performing Arts Society's (JPAS) 15th Annual Pasta & Puccini Gala will be held on Friday, October 29, 2010 at InterContinental New Orleans, 444 St. Charles Avenue in New Orleans. Doors will open at 6:30PM. The official launch of the 89th Hollywood Bowl season, the Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame and Opening Night Concert, brought stars and talent to the iconic venue, Friday, June 18, at 8:30 p.m. This year's inductees - pop culture icon Donna Summer, the legendary Carpenters (accepted by Richard Carpenter) and world-renowned pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet - as well as presenters multiple Grammy-winning musician, composer and producer Herb Alpert, acclaimed music producer David Foster, film and television actress Victoria Tennant, and producer, choreographer and television personality Nigel Lythgoe - made for a memorable evening.

Jacob's Pillow announces its 2010 full season calendar, including more than 200 free performances, talks, photography exhibits, tours, and events. Free event highlights include the Blake's Barn exhibit Lois Greenfield: Imagined Moments, featuring Greenfield's signature dance photography, and 'Let's Dance!' a new community event on July 4 with free dance classes and workshops for teens and adults. PillowTalks, held Thursdays at 5pm and Saturdays at 4pm, include Virginia Johnson, recently named Artistic Director of Dance Theatre of Harlem (June 24), choreographer/director Bill T. Jones (July 22), and the return of Pulitzer Prize winner Jules Feiffer (July 31). Inside/Out performance highlights include the all-female hip-hop group Decadancetheatre (July 7), the dancers of The School at Jacob's Pillow's first ever Tap Program (July 10), alumnus of The School at Jacob's Pillow and Artistic Director of his own ensemble, Avi Scher (July 23), and ¡Flamenco Revolución! (August 27).

The comic genius of Harold Lloyd meets the musical genius of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra as LACO presents the 19th Annual Silent Film Gala, with co-chairs Hanna Kennedy and Roger Mayer as well as seven-time Honorary Chairman Academy Award-winning actor Dustin Hoffman. The evening will feature Harold Lloyd's 1928 film entitled Speedy, with an extended cameo by Babe Ruth. Joel McNeely conducts the score by Carl Davis.
