Four hundred of Chicago's young arts supporters turned out for a high-energy evening of music, dancing, cocktails, impressive local cuisine and a silent auction at Steppenwolf Auxiliary Council's 2014 Red or White Ball on Friday, March 28, 2014 at Chicago's sleek, contemporary Venue One (1044 W Randolph St). The signature event for the city's most active young professionals raised nearly $60,000, benefiting Steppenwolf for Young Adults, the theater's nationally recognized arts education program, which annually impacts more than 12,000 students, teachers and families.

Next on stage as part of the Steppenwolf for Young Adults' (SYA) season is the world premiere of How Long Will I Cry?: Voices of Youth Violence by Miles Harvey. How Long Will I Cry? is directed by Edward Torres as part of the citywide, season-long Now Is The Timeinitiative with Chicago Public Library and other local cultural organizations.
