The Tony winner is costarring in downtown performance piece 'The Life and Death of Kenyon Phillips' and doing cabaret shows uptown.

Kenyon Phillips, the theatrical singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and DJ announced today that the casting for his 90-minute autobiographical rock opera, The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, which will play a special four-performance limited engagement at The Box (189 Chrystie St., New York, NY 10002) starting February 20th, is now complete.

Kenyon Phillips, the theatrical singer, songwriter, actor, writer, model, dancer, and DJ whose 90-minute autobiographical rock opera, The Life + Death of Kenyon Phillips, will play a special four-performance limited engagement at The Box (189 Chrystie St., New York, NY 10002) starting February 20th, is thrilled to announce that Broadway veterans Cady Huffman (The Producers) and Gabriel Barre (Starmites) will join the cast, along with entertainment columnist and actor Michael Musto.

In what has become an annual ritual, a total of 46 established and emerging writers, composers and lyricists will converge on the Goodspeed campus later this month to participate in the Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Colony at Goodspeed Musicals. The writing teams, representing 25 new musicals, will populate the campus, creating a truly exciting environment for discovery and inspiration.

After becoming a pop culture phenomenon with its sold out premier at New World Stages in 2012, Forever Deadward: The Vampire Musical Parody is back! Praised by MTV, E! Entertainment, and Entertainment Weekly among others, Forever Deadward is a hilarious, intelligent pop rock musical that lovingly takes a bite out of everyone's favorite vampire series (and a few other pop culture icons along the way). The show will have a concert presentation for the forthcoming Off Broadway show tonight December 16th at 9:30pm.

The York Theatre Company presents the Fall 2014 Developmental Readings Series staged reading of the new musical, Forever Deadward, a vampire musical parody, created and written by Ashley Griffin, with additional music and lyrics by Jeremy Ezell, Sean Mahoney, David Mallamud, and Michael Sutherland for one-performance only on Friday, October 31 at 3:00 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Can a new musical be 'pre-Broadway' without having a New York theater booked, or without even announcing a timetable for said booking? How about a musical largely penned by a previously unknown writer, one who worked as a Pennsylvania policeman, and never formally studied music composition? Well, AMAZING GRACE is that show, and this expensive-looking, high-aiming show that's been in development since 2007, with book, music and lyrics by Christopher Smith (the book is co-written with the veteran playwright Arthur Giron) opened on Sunday night. So far, so good!
