Today, the inaugural Contour Music Festival released the names of 18 artists that are new to the lineup, along with the schedule for the festival's late night shows.
Following a sell-out run at The Watermill Theatre in Newbury "CALAMITY JANE" has embarked on a national UK tour coming to the King's Theatre Glasgow from Tuesday 16 until Saturday 20 June 2015. "CALAMITY JANE" stars Jodie Prenger in the title role, Tom Lister as 'Wild Bill Hickok, Alex Hammond as 'Danny' and Phoebe Street as Katie Brown.

Now in it's sixth season, The Fire This Time Festival will welcome seven new playwrights into the family, January 19-February 8 at The Kraine Theater (85 East 4th Street between 2nd Avenue and Bowery). These playwrights will present an evening of ten-minute plays, each inspired by one of Alex Harsley's original photographs. This year's festival will also feature the World Premiere of Nathan Yungerberg's play Pousada Azul, directed by Russel G. Jones (Father Comes Home from the Wars at The Public). Special events will include a play reading series, an open mic night, a movie screening, and a panel discussion on art and activism. The Public Theater announced a second extension for the critically acclaimed FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3), a world premiere play written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair Suzan-Lori Parks. Directed by Jo Bonney, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3) will now run through Sunday, December 7. It was originally scheduled to close on November 16 and extended the first time through November 30.

The Public Theater announced a two-week extension today for the critically acclaimed FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3), a world premiere play written by Public Theater Master Writer Chair Suzan-Lori Parks. Directed by Jo Bonney, FATHER COMES HOME FROM THE WARS (PARTS 1, 2 & 3) began previews on Tuesday, October 14 in the Anspacher Theater and was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, November 16. It will now run an additional two weeks through Sunday, November 30.

The Olivier Award-winning production of Mike Kenny's stage adaptation of E. Nesbit's novel The Railway Children will be returning to London on 16 December 2014, but moving to a new home, the King's Cross Theatre, where a purpose built 1,000-seat theatre, complete with a railway track and platforms, and with a state of the art heating system, will be specially created. The site, on King's Boulevard, behind King's Cross Station, has been loaned to the production for the duration of the run by Google, who own the land. The York Theatre Royal production, which is in association with the National Railway Museum, will once again feature a live 60-tonne steam locomotive and Gentleman's Carriage. The Railway Children, which previews from 16 December, with a press night on 14 January, is booking until 1 March 2015. Open auditions for children aged between 9 and 13 to star in the children's ensemble were held on Saturday 18 October at Jacksons Lane Arts Centre, and BroadwayWorld has photos below!
