ROCK OF AGES Producers Lead Sundance Film Noms

Sundance Institute announced today the lineup of films selected to screen in the U.S. and World Cinema Dramatic and Documentary Competitions for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Matt Weaver & Scott Prisand, two of ROCK OF AGES' lead producers and co-owners of the LA-based Corner Store Entertainment, have two films in the top dramatic category at Sundance Film Festival. The films, which star a host of stage stars, are SYMPATHY FOR DELICIOUS (Mark Ruffalo, Laura Linney, Orlando Bloom and Juliette Lewis) and HESHER (Natalie Portman and Joseph Gordon Levitt).

'Palestine, New Mexico' by Richard Montoya for Culture Clash. Directed by Lisa Peterson Set on an American Indian reservation in the Southwest, 'Palestine, New Mexico' follows the fate of Army Captain Siler who has returned from Iraq with a secret she just can't keep.

John Hillner Joins Cast of PERFECT CRIME, 11/23

John Hillner, who starred on Broadway as Georges in the Tony Award-winning 2004 revival of La Cages Aux Folles, will join the cast of Perfect Crime, the longest-running play in New York history, on Monday, November 23, 2009. He assumes the role of Harrison Brent and replaces Randy Kovitz, who will play his final performance on Sunday, November 22.

Hudson Mainstage Theatre Announces Open-Ended Run Of DIVORCE! THE MUSICAL

Rick Culbertson, in association with Lynn Marks and Paradox Entertainment, today announced that Divorce! The Musical will have an open-ended run at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre (6539 Santa Monica Blvd.). The world premiere production, now in its fourth smash month, features music, lyrics and book by 2008 Frederick Loewe Award-winner Erin Kamler (Runway 69 at New Dramatists). Multi award-winning director Rick Sparks (They Shoot Horses, Don?t They?) directs and musical stage this comedy about one couple?s hellish journey to un-tie the knot. Divorce! The Musical also features musical direction and arrangements by Ovation Award-winner David O (Ubu Roi and Jason Robert Brown?s 13).

'SHE SAID, SHE SAID' will be performed at the WorkShop Theater, 312 West 36th Street (between 8th and 9th Avenues), 4th floor Main Stage Theater. Previews begin Thursday, March 12, and the Official Opening Night will be Monday, March 16 at 7:00 p.m. Performances are scheduled to run through Saturday, April 4.

Travanti and Crawford to Star in POET Revival at 14th Street Theater Starting 12/2

Two-time Emmy Award-winner Daniel J. Travanti ('Hill Street Blues') returns to the New York stage in a revival of the Eugene O'Neill classic A TOUCH OF THE POET as Con Melody -- a role he has played previously to acclaim in Boston, Washington and Denver -- with previews to begin December 2, prior to an official opening December 7, at The 14th Street Theater (344 East 14th Street) in Manhattan.
