The Kitchen Presents Three Nights With Tyshawn Sorey And Special Guests

The Kitchen is pleased to welcome back acclaimed instrumentalist and composer Tyshawn Sorey to present three evenings of performances offering the fullest overview of his various working methods to date-including intergenerational collaborations and ritual works, as well as pieces featuring his percussion cage, modern jazz comprising highly-detailed forms that contain harmonic chromaticism and varying degrees of ensemble interplay, and a newly-formed ensemble that integrates spoken word, turntablism, and spontaneous composition.

NBC Sports Presents Coverage Of FEI World Equestrian Games Tryon 2018

In addition to presenting nearly 65 hours of FEI World Equestrian Games Tryon 2018 coverage from Mill Spring, N.C., NBC Sports will broadcast team and individual Para-Dressage Finals beginningtomorrow, Tuesday, at 10 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. Coverage continues on Wednesday and Friday nights, concluding on Saturday at 10 p.m. ET, all on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Cirque Du Soleil's CRYSTAL Comes To Edmonton

Cirque du Soleil is thrilled to return to the Edmonton area with its coolest arena show yet - Cirque du Soleil's CRYSTAL. This unique arena production showcases synchronized, freestyle and extreme skating alongside circus disciplines such as swinging trapeze, aerial straps and hand to hand. CRYSTAL will perform at Rogers Place from Wednesday, February 13 through Sunday, February 17 for 8 shows only.  Renaissance man Utkarsh Ambudkar follows up single “Vanity” with “Rufio,” an epic collaboration with Lin- Manuel Miranda, Dante Basco, and The Olympicks. “Rufio” plays with raw and melodic hip-hop that addresses race, the first generation immigrant experience, politics, Hollywood and more from a fresh and infectious perspective. 

Bri Steves Releases New Track, 'Late Night'

Fresh off the heels of last week's release of “Ain't Shit,” and her performance with Kendrick Lamar during Philly's Made In America festival, Bri Steves is back with a new track, “Late Night” produced by Charlie Heat. Bri also released the companion video for “Late Night” today via a premiere with Complex, declaring the video as “something completely different, but totally still in the unique Bri Steves wheelhouse.” Additionally, it was just announced that Bri will join H.E.R. as direct support on the “I Used To Know Her” U.S. tour – dates below.

Rachael Cantu Shares Video For LOVE RUSH

Los Angeles songwriter Rachael Cantu has shared the video for the title-track of her latest EP, Love Rush, directed by Kalie Acheson of ANIMI (Miguel/Alexa Meade's ”Color of Reality”) – watch + share via YouTube.  “Love Rush” will additionally receive a remix treatment from Too Attached, aka siblings Vivek Shraya and Shamik Bilgi, out September 28.

BWW Review: HIP HOP FILM FESTIVAL 2018 Brings Fresh Perspectives and Hot Talent to Harlem

The 3rd annual Hip Hop Film Festival was held, fittingly, at the historic National Black Theatre founded by Dr. Barbara Ann Teer who moved to Harlem in 1968 and saw that the once vibrant neighborhood was suffering from a sense of hopelessness after the losses of African American leaders Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Malcolm X and desperately needed a community space and cultural arts institution that would 'be reflective of the power, grace and excellence of a people' (according to her daughter and current CEO Sade Lythcott).

Danger One Opens in Select Theaters Nationwide September 14

Freestyle Digital Media, the digital film distribution division of Byron Allen's Entertainment Studios, has acquired the domestic rights to DANGER ONE, a dark comedy/action film directed by Tom Oesch and written by Steffen Schlachtenhaufen. DANGER ONE was produced by Mythmaker Productions (which also produced the slasher thriller Reaper and the hit real estate satire Pocket Listing) and Silvatar Media (which also produced the horror thriller The Pyramid and the spine-tingler Removal). Producers include Dwjuan Fox, Naji Jurdi, Mark James, James Jurdi, Bradley A. Jabour, Michael S. Klein, Victor Najjarian, Saud Shawwaf, Chady Eli Mattar, Scott C. Silver, and David Willing. The film, which stars Tom Everett Scott, James Jurdi, Angelica Celaya, Damon Dayoub, and Denis O'Hare, will hit select theaters nationwide on September 143th, 2018.

Beatles' YELLOW SUBMARINE With Sing-A-Long Titles Screens In Jaffrey

The Park Theatre's River Street Theatre (RST) will be presenting the newly restored classic 1968 animated feature, the Beatles' Yellow Submarine, this Today, August 11. In recognition of the 50th Anniversary of the film, the Beatles had sing-a-long titles added to the film, and the RST will be screening that version.
