FST Improv announces its summer season with three distinct shows that will bring spontaneity, playfulness, and a bit of history to Sarasota. Playing through June 30 is the fresh and daring Comedy Freestyle, where audience members will see free-form improv-a challenging improv style with no rules or limits. Playing on July 7 only is When X Meets Y: American Revolution, FST's special holiday improv show celebrating Independence Day, which follows a band of American colonists fighting the British, but adds a thrilling romantic twist. Starting July 28 is Comedy Lottery, FST's short-form improv show built off the audience's suggestions and favorite games. All three programs play on Saturdays at 7:30 pm in FST's Bowne's Lab. Full menu and bar are available for all performances. Doors open one hour prior to the show. Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City is set to launch 365 Live - live performances for 365 days a year - during its opening week and will become the driving force behind live entertainment in Atlantic City. Boasting five performance stages in addition to Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena and Sound Waves, with a minimum of 50 live performances per week through August, 365 Live will feature performers from American Idol, The Voice and America's Got Talent, Grammy Award Winners, comedians and even National Touring acts - with more than 70% of performers flown in from around the country.

For his debut documentary, QUEST, director Jonathan Olshefski spent nearly a decade chronicling the daily triumphs and tragedies of the Raineys, a working class African-American family in North Philadelphia. The father, Christopher “Quest” Rainey, is a local music producer and promoter who hosts a popular freestyle session for aspiring rappers in his home basement studio; the mother, Christine'a “Ma Quest” Rainey, works night shifts at a homeless shelter; and their spirited adolescent daughter, Patricia “PJ” Rainey, is a daddy's girl who loves to play basketball.
