The 92nd Street Y has announced casting for the 2010 season of Lyrics & Lyricists. Lucie Arnaz, Debby Boone, Capathia Jenkins, James Naughton and Raúl Esparza are among the performers who will present the music of the Desi Arnaz Orchestra, Johnny Burke and Hoagy Carmichael. The season also includes a night of songs made famous by Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers, and one devoted to the art of the satirical song, featuring works by Tom Lehrer, 'Yip' Harburg, Stephen Sondheim and others. The season is curated by series artistic director Deborah Grace Winer, and a line-up of guest artistic directors - Lucie Arnaz, Daryl Sherman, Rob Fisher, and Ted Sperling.

It was announced today that the award-winning comedienne Judy Gold would, for the first time, host the Nightlife Awards, which takes place on Monday, January 26th at 7 PM at The Town Hall. Also announced was Nightlife Legend Honoree Karen Akers who will, as trumpeted by the Nightlife Awards, make no acceptance speech but, instead, perform! And yet another winner has been found and agreed to come to Town Hall to perform: Steven Bernstein's Millennial Territory Orchestra (Outstanding Jazz Combo). Also announced today were guest stars Keith Carradine and Jim Caruso.
So far, eleven of the thirteen award categories will be represented with a performance by their winners! Among those previously announced winners slated to perform are Christine Ebersole & Billy Stritch, Marilyn Maye, Mike Birbiglia, Freddy Cole, Helen Baldassare, Allan Harris, Baby Jane Dexter, Brandon Cutrell, The Improvised Shakespeare Company, Daryl Glenn and Jo Lynn Burks. Producer Scott Siegel has announced the addition of country music legend Larry Gatlin, Jersey Boys star Daniel Reichard, Broadway favorite Charles Busch and jazz band Ben Riley's Monk Legacy Septet to the line-up of talent for the 2007 Nightlife Awards, the one and only 'All Performance Awards Show.'
The 2006 MAC AWARDS will be presented on MONDAY, APRIL 17 AT 7:30 PM at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center at BMCC, 199 Chambers Street. Hosted by Lee Roy Reams, the 20th annual MAC Awards will include appearances by Phoebe Snow, Ben Taylor, Karen Mason, Carol Hall and Rocky Carroll among others.
