SIX DEGREES OF SEPARATION to Open 1/11 at Actor's Express

Actor's Express has announced Six Degrees of Separation, by John Guare, directed by Freddie Ashley. The production opens on Saturday night, January 11, 2013, 8pm curtain, preview performances are January 9 and 10, and the ever-popular pay-what-you-want sneak peek, "Director's Rough Cut", is Wednesday, January 8. The outstanding cast is led by Mary Lynn Owen and Doyle Reynolds as the affluent couple, and Jason-Jaml Ligon as Paul, the con artist. Complete cast list below. UK-Wide Auditions For BILLY ELLIOT in 2014

Beginning January 2014, auditions for the children's cast of Billy Elliot the Musical will take place countrywide to find young boys and girls to join the internationally acclaimed show which is now in its ninth year at the Victoria Palace Theatre in the West End. 2014 auditions take place on 11 January in Leeds, 1 February in Newcastle, 15 March in London, 26 April in Bristol and 17 May in Manchester.

The holiday trees and extensive tinsel town decor are created by Dr. Christmas (Bob Pranga and Debi Staron), known as the celebrity holiday and special event designers to the stars. The exhibit will be on display through January 5, 2014.

Jazz at Lincoln Center with Wynton Marsalis to Return to Segerstrom Center, 3/14

The world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis arrives at Segerstrom Center for the Arts on Friday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Segerstrom Hall. The much admired and critically acclaimed orchestra performs the music of Count Basie and Duke Ellington for its return visit to the Center. "One rarely hears this music played with such technical brilliance, stylistic authenticity and tonal sheen...Here were the throaty reeds, percussive trumpet blasts and visceral sense of swing that have made the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra the greatest large jazz ensemble working today," notes Chicago Tribune.
