The Recording Academy will honor its 2018 Special Merit Awards recipients with 'GRAMMY Salute To Music Legends®,' an awards ceremony and live tribute concert on Saturday, July 14, 2018, at Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. This year's Lifetime Achievement Award honorees are Hal Blaine, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Louis Jordan, the Meters, Queen, and Tina Turner. Additional Special Merit Awards honorees to be celebrated include Bill Graham, Seymour Stein, and John Williams, who are this year's Trustees Award honorees, and Tony Agnello and Richard Factor, who are the Technical GRAMMY Award recipients. Also being honored is Melissa Salguero, this year's recipient of the Music Educator Award. Led by GRAMMY®-nominated industry icon Greg Phillinganes as musical director, the tribute concert will feature rare performances by honorees and never-seen renditions by those they've inspired. Currently scheduled to appear are eight-time GRAMMY winner Herb Alpert, who will honor Blaine; past GRAMMY nominee Micky Dolenz, who will be honoring Diamond; GRAMMY winner Sammy Hagar, who will pay tribute to Graham; 13-time GRAMMY winner and Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Harris; past GRAMMY nominee Ledisi, who will salute Jordan; and three-time GRAMMY winner Trisha Yearwood, who will pay tribute to Harris. Presenters for the evening include actress Angela Bassett and GRAMMY winner Henry Rollins. Additional performers and presenters will be announced shortly. Art lovers of all kinds gathered this evening at Montalvo Arts Center's historic Villa to hear the Silicon Valley venue announce its 2018-2019 Carriage House Theatre Concert Series launching in October. During 2018, the Finborough Theatre celebrates 150 years of the Finborough Theatre's building - and its birthday also coincides with the 150th anniversary of the birth of French symbolist playwright Paul Claudel. As part of the #Finborough150 celebrations, the London premiere in English of Paul Claudel's Break of Noon (Partage de Midi) plays for six Sunday and Monday evenings and Tuesday matinees from Sunday, 27 May 2018 (Press Night: Monday, 28 May 2018 at 7.30pm).

This March, the Chi Phil Chamber Players give pop hits a classical twist in Kings, Queens and Rebels. With arrangements by Chicago Philharmonic member Benton Wedge, this concert invites audiences to join Westeros royalty with the Game of Thrones theme, Star Wars rebels with the ominous Imperial March, and the game show king Slumdog Millionaire in Jai Ho (made famous by the Pussycat Dolls).

Freddie Mercury is arguably one of the most talented vocalists of the 21st century. Courtney Freed's one-woman show Don't Stop Me Now highlights his incredible range and dynamic stage presence through vocal driven jazz arrangements. Freed also brings to light the life experiences that shaped his talent and ultimately led to his untimely AIDS related death in 1991. Don't Stop Me Now is not simply a concert of Freddie Mercury's music, but rather an homage paid to Mercury through the art of cabaret storytelling and a fresh musical take on his most beloved songs.

Tony Nominee Jarrod Spector graces Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre with his biographical show Jukebox Life at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7 at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts.

Internationally acclaimed choreographer and TV personality Arlene Phillips will be hitting the high seas with Glitz, Glamour and Gossip onboard the UK's first ever fully immersive musical theatre cruise.

Just how good is it the be The Bard? BroadwayWorld spoke with the man himself - Adam Pascal - to find out. Pascal is best known by fans as the actor who originated the role of Roger Davis in RENT. He is currently playing Shakespeare in the SOMETHING ROTTEN! national tour, which is headed back to DFW this week.
