Flat Rock Playhouse is teaming with veteran Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn (For The Glory, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wonderland) and lyricist Jack Murphy on a brand new 'jazz age' musical set in Asheville, North Carolina. Loosely based on F. Scott Fitzgerald, the hot Jazz Age novelist who wrote 'This Side of Paradise,' 'The Beautiful and Damned,' 'The Great Gatsby,' 'Tender Is the Night' and 'The Last Tycoon,' and his wife, Zelda. For TUTS' 2012-2013 season opener, American Idol star and Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis joins with Grammy Award nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox to inject new life into the classic tale of good and evil, Jekyll & Hyde. The show will play tonight, October 9-21, 2012, at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.

On Monday, October 15 at 7pm, Broadway at Birdland presents multi-Grammy and Tony nominated composer Frank Wildhorn in his monthly concert series called "Frank & Friends." Joining Frank onstage will be award-winning jazz vocalist Jane Monheit and renowned Las Vegas/Cafe Carlyle headliner Clint Holmes.

American Idiot's Van Hughes and Hair's Ryan Link will star in the New York premiere of Son of a Gun, a contemporary folk rock musical previously developed with the O'Neill Theater Center, Joe's Pub and The Drama League. The new tour for JEKYLL & HYDE will kick off its 25- week National Tour in San Diego tonight, October 2nd! This new tour stars R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy and American Idol and ROCK OF AGES star Constantine Maroulis in the title dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde. Playing at the San Diego Civic Theatre from October 2-7, this is an opportunity to see this show in a whole new way.

On Stage Touring, LLC, in association with Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc., announced today that it will kick off their 2012/2013 touring season of Elvis Lives 'The Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Event' in Wilmington tonight, October 2, 2012. Due to incredible demand from audiences coast to coast, this season's tour will travel to sixty cities, presenting 100 performances, more than triple the number of last season's tour.

As rehearsals started today, final casting is confirmed for the major London production of the Broadway musical comedy, Victor/Victoria. Directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento, it will run for an 8-week season in The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, from Thursday October 25 - Saturday December 15. Press night is Thursday 1 November at 7.30pm.

Fair Lawn Recreation Department's resident theatre company, Old Library Theatre, presents Jekyll & Hyde, a gothic musical conceived for the stage by Steve Cuden and Frank Wildhorn. Under the direction of Patrick Stevens, of Dover, and musical direction of Anthony Bevilacqua, of Garfield, Jekyll & Hyde will be performed at the George Frey Center for Performing Arts from October 12-14, 19-21 & 26 and 28, with shows at 8pm on Friday and Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Anticipation for the revived and revised version Frank Wildhorn's acclaimed musical JEKYLL & HYDE is building in Houston, TX. The tour opened in La Mirada, California on September 7, 2012 and will be make a whirlwind stop in San Diego, California before coming home to Houston in October. To give me the inside scoop on this new Broadway-bound production, Constantine Maroulis, starring in the titular dual roles, chatted with me from La Mirada.
