Previously scheduled for this coming Monday, October 29, 2012 at 7:30 p.m., the 2012 Harold and Mimi Steinberg Charitable Trust's presentation of the Steinberg Distinguished Playwright Award to David Henry Hwang at the Lincoln Center Theater has been postponed to a later date due to expected weather conditions. The new date and further details will be announced shortly.

The event will feature performances by Jennifer Lim, Ben Stiller, Julyana Soelistyo and John Rubinstein.

The international musical sensation JEKYLL & HYDE will return to Broadway in Spring 2013 following a 25-week National Tour which will include a 3-week stop at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles. Tony Award nominee Constantine Maroulis will star in the title dual role of Dr. Henry Jekyll and Edward Hyde, alongside Grammy Award nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox as Lucy.

American Idiot's Van Hughes and Hair's Ryan Link will star in Son of a Gun, a contemporary folk rock musical previously developed with the O'Neill Theater Center, Joe's Pub and The Drama League. Performances begin November 1, 2012 at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row. Gabriel Barre (Andrew Lippa's The Wild Party, john & jen) directs.

The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) will welcome Linda Eder to the Music Center at Strathmore on November 8 at 8 p.m., who will perform "Songbirds," a program featuring the music of Lena Horne, Etta James, Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Eva Cassidy and more. Broadway's Jill Paice will join James Barbour on stage Saturday, November 10 at his Fifth Annual Pre-Holiday Season Concert at Sardi's (234 West 44th Street, New York, NY).

The creative team behind the recent acclaimed Southwark Playhouse musicals, Parade and Mack & Mabel, are returning to the Vault to present the Broadway musical comedy, Victor/Victoria. Directed by Thom Southerland and produced by Danielle Tarento, it will run for an 8-week season in The Vault at Southwark Playhouse, from Thursday October 25 - Saturday December 15. Back in the 1970s and '80s, when the National Hockey League was at its pugilistic pinnacle, the joke was, 'I went to the fights last night and a hockey game broke out.' I thought of a variation on that theme last Saturday night (October 13) during a show at Town Hall that was part of the venue's eighth annual Cabaret Festival: 'I went to a Jekyll & Hyde musical convention tonight and a Linda Eder concert broke out.' Eder's audience showed up having imbibed the J & H Kool Aid, a toxic brew that makes one believe that some of the most manipulative, derivative and over-the-top musical theater songs ever written are Rodgers and Hammerstein classics incarnate. As most of the audience was transforming into grotesquely passionate full Jekkie mode, the show itself (co-starring former J & H stars Christiane Noll and Robert Cuccioli) manifested a spilt personality-part Eder concert, part J & H reunion show.

This month's "Frank & Friends," a regular feature with the Broadway at Birdland concert series, brought Broadway/pop songwriter Frank Wildhorn back to the stage with jazz superstar Jane Monheit and Las Vegas/Cafe Carlyle headliner Clint Holmes - and a better musical threesome would be hard to find. According to MTI's official website, BONNIE & CLYDE, which last year played the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre, is now available for licensing. In the show, two small-town kids from the middle of nowhere became the biggest folk heroes in all America. They craved adventure-and each other. Their names were Bonnie and Clyde.

Flat Rock Playhouse is teaming with veteran Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn (For The Glory, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Wonderland) and lyricist Jack Murphy on a brand new 'jazz age' musical set in Asheville, North Carolina. Frank Wildhorn's JEKYLL & HYDE has been reinvented and completely reworked. The new production is not a revival of the show, but a revisal-a reimagining of the material for a contemporary audience.
