Perhaps the defining characteristic of Soho Rep, under the artistic direction of Sarah Benson, is the institution's commitment to artists creating surprisingly big theatrical events in its very small space on Walker Street. Soho Rep's 2013-14 season, announced today, provides ample evidence of that commitment, comprising two shows that are among the biggest the organization has ever produced: the New York premiere of David Adjmi's Marie Antoinette, directed by Rebecca Taichman and featuring Marin Ireland (Blasted); and Branden Jacobs-Jenkins' An Octoroon, directed by Benson.

Hot on the heels of "Scary," the tenth installment of his EP-a-month project for 2013, the prolifically quirky Brooklyn singer-songwriter Avi Fox-Rosen celebrates passing the 50-songs-produced-this-year benchmark by taking that same concept of fervent frequency to performing live at the following venues:

On Tuesday, October 15, 2013, brass bands and parade revelers will rendezvous in Brooklyn to kick off the seventh annual HONK NYC! Festival.

While we anticipate what Avi Fox-Rosen has up his musical sleeve with next month's theme in his 'EP-a-month project for 2013,' this prolific Brooklyn singer-songwriter takes that same concept of fervent frequency to performing live.

The Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID) hosts the 14th annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square, New York's largest outdoor holiday festival on Monday, December 2nd from 5:30PM-9:00PM to kick-off the holiday season! This year's highly-anticipated event is expected to attract thousands of people to the Lincoln Square area and light up the entire Upper West Side. There will be over 20 live performance areas, more than 30 restaurants offering tastings and many great performers including Tony Award Winning, renowned Broadway stars, Brian Stokes Mitchell and Bebe Neuwirth headlining the festival. Hot on the heels of 'Good and Evil,' the September installment of his EP-a-month project for 2013, Brooklyn singer-songwriter Avi Fox-Rosen will be performing live with his trio at Pete's Candy Store in Williamsburg tonight, September 12th, at 9pm.

Puppets and live performers enact an enigmatic tale of early World War II in 'King Executioner,' the newest creation of Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre written and directed by Vit Horejš. The play is loosely based on 'When you are a King, You will be an Executioner' ('A Jak Krolem a Jak Katem Bedzies,' 1968) by the Polish magical realist novelist Tadeusz Nowak (1930-1991). Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with American Repertory Theater, presents the world premiere of Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, directed by Rebecca Taichman. Marie Antoinette will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) October 26 through November 17. Opening Night is Thursday, November 1. The cast includes Fred Arsenault, Hannah Cabell, David Greenspan, Marin Ireland, Vin Knight, Jo Lampert, Polly Lee, Steven Rattazzi, Jake Silbermann, Teale Sperling, Brian Wiles, and Ashton Woerz.
