Joshua Bell, Frank London, Austin Pendleton and Jackie Hoffman have joined the lineup for Raising the Roof - an all-star benefit concert celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Fiddler on the Roof, its Pulitzer Prize- and Tony-winning lyricist, Sheldon Harnick, and the 100thanniversary of The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene - on Monday, June 9th, at New York's The Town Hall.

The National Yiddish Theatre - Folksbiene just presented a remarkable concert event celebrating the folk legend and actor Theodore Bikel in anticipation of his 90th birthday in May 2014. 'Miracle of Miracles: A Chanukah Extravaganza' filled the stage at Symphony Space, 2537 Broadway, last night, December 2 with one rare musical treat after another. Featured in the all-star cast were the beloved Emmy-winning actor Fyvush Finkel, klezmer giant Frank London, the Russian concert phenomenon Psoy Korolenko and the Broadway actors Joanne Borts ('Once') and Elmore James, among many others. 14th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square Set for 12/2

Children of all ages are invited to the 14th Annual Winter's Eve at Lincoln Square - New York City's largest outdoor holiday festival hosted by the Lincoln Square Business Improvement District (BID). Theevening of family fun will kick off with a performance by Tony Award Winning, renowned Broadway star, Brian Stokes Mitchell accompanied by Rosie's Theater Kids, Frank London's Klezmer Brass All Stars, Bond Street Theatre's Shinbone Alley Stilt Walking Band, and WABC-TV's Sade Baderinwa at the Upper West Side neighborhood's holiday tree lighting ceremony beginning at 5:30pm at the main stage in Dante Park at Broadway & 63rd Street. This year's 35 foot Norway Spruce and festive lights have been generously donated by local restaurateur PJ Clarke's. The Winter's Eve festival is free, open to the public and will take place on Monday, December 2nd from 5:30 - 9:00 p.m. along Broadway from Time Warner Center to 68th Street with activities for the whole family.

Sundance Institute today announced the seven artists selected for its 2014 Playwrights Retreat at Ucross Foundation. The 15th annual writing colony at the 20,000-acre working cattle ranch outside of Sheridan, WY takes place February 3-21. Under the supervision of Artistic Director Philip Himberg and Producing Director Christopher Hibma, the Playwrights Retreat is made possible through the generosity of Ucross Foundation.

In Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre's 'The Republic, or My Dinner with Socrates,' playwright/director Vit Horejs dramatizes the historic role of the renowned philosopher with toga-clad puppets, shadow figures and live music. The play's world premiere will be presented by La MaMa E.T.C. in association with GOH Productions from November 29 to December 15 in its First Floor Theater at 74A East Fourth Street.
