ARCADIA at American Conservatory Theater Extends Through 6/16

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today that due to popular demand, A.C.T.'s 'dazzling' (Bay Area News Group) production of Tom Stoppard's masterwork, Arcadia, has extended through Sunday, June 16, 2013. The production was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, June 9. Tickets for all performances are on sale now and may be purchased online at www.act-sf.org or by calling 415.749.2228.

Echo Theater to Premiere BOB: A LIFE IN 5 ACTS at Atwater Village, 6/8-30

Born and abandoned in the bathroom of a fast food restaurant, Bob travels across America determined to become a 'great' man. The Echo Theater Company presents the Los Angeles premiere of Peter Sinn Nachtrieb's hilarious, award-winning comedy, BOB: A Life in Five Acts. Echo artistic director Chris Fieldshelms the limited 4-week run, June 8 through June 30 at Atwater Village Theatre.

THE HOW AND THE WHY Rounds Out TimeLine Theatre's 2013-14 Season

TimeLine Theatre Company, dedicated to presenting plays inspired by history that connect to today's social and political issues, announces that The How and the Why by Sarah Treem (Netflix's House of Cards, HBO's In Treatment), directed by Keira Fromm and starring Janet Ulrich Brooks and Elizabeth Ledo, will be the third production of its 2013-14 season.

ACT Announces Extension for BLACK WATCH

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today that their highly anticipated production of the National Theatre of Scotland's internationally acclaimed production of Black Watch has extended its run at The Drill Court at the Armory Community Center (333 14th Street, between Mission and Valencia) through Sunday, June 16. The production was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, June 9. Tickets for all performances are on sale now and may be purchased online at act-sf.org or by calling 415.749.2228.

WHY DO YOU STAND THERE IN THE RAIN? Plays Pepperdine University, Now thru 4/6

The Pepperdine University Fine Arts Division Theatre Department presents the US premiere of Why Do You Stand There in the Rain?, Scottish playwright Peter Arnott's drama based on the Bonus Army March in Washington, DC, at 7:30 p.m. tonight, April 2, through Saturday, April 6, at the Malibu campus' Smothers Theatre.

David Strathairn Will Headline ACT's UNDERNEATH THE LINTEL

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today two additional productions for the company's 47th subscription season: Glen Berger's acclaimed solo drama, Underneath the Lintel, starring Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee David Strathairn, and Beatrice Basso and Linda Alper's new translation of Eduardo De Filippo's poignant Italian comedy, Napoli!, featuring A.C.T. favorites Marco Barricelli and Stratford Festival star Seana McKenna. These two productions join the previously announced 1776, A Christmas Carol, Major Barbara, Venus in Fur, and The Orphan of Zhao. The final production for the 2013-14 season will be announced at a later date.

A Noise Within Adds Performances to THE GRAPES OF WRATH

A Noise Within (ANW), the acclaimed classical repertory theatre company, has added two performances of its popular production of FRANK GALATI'S adaptation of JOHN STEINBECK'S iconic THE GRAPES OF WRATH on Saturday, April 20, 2 pm, and Sunday, April 21, 7 pm. The play runs through May 11, 2013.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) will close its 2012-13 season with a dazzling new production of Tom Stoppard's masterwork, Arcadia. Directed by A.C.T. Artistic Director Carey Perloff, Arcadia unfolds in a beautiful English country house and moves between the nineteenth century and the present through a series of love stories, as characters from both eras discover connections, unearth mysteries, and unravel hidden truths about the nature of heat and desire.
