California Musical Theatre announced the 2016-17 Broadway Sacramento season at the Community Center Theater, featuring four shows not previously presented in the series, one of which has been produced in the round at Music Circus a number of times but never before part of Broadway Sacramento.

The award-winning musical based on the blockbuster film, THE BODYGUARD, comes to the New Victoria Theatre, Woking for just two weeks from Today 29 March - Saturday 9 April, direct from the West End, and starring three-time Brit nominee and X-Factor winner, Alexandra Burke as Rachel Marron.

On Saturday, March 12th, the Orpheum Theatre announced its highly-anticipated 2016-2017 Broadway Season. The year's subscription series includes DIRTY DANCING - The Classic Story On Stage, ANNIE, THE BODYGUARD, BEAUTIFUL - The Carole King Musical, and THE SOUND OF MUSIC. Season options include a return engagement of JERSEY BOYS, and a special weekend-only engagement of the RENT 20th Anniversary Tour. The East Jefferson General Hospital Broadway in New Orleans 2016-17 season was announced today. Presented by the New Orleans Theatre Association, the new season will commence at the historic Saenger Theatre in fall 2016.

Ben Richards will join previously announced Beverley Knight in the international hit musical The Bodyguard when it returns to the West End for a limited six month run in July this year.  Richards will play Frank Farmer, Rachel Marron's bodyguard, alongside Beverley Knight in the leading role of the Oscar-nominated superstar Marron.   Performances begin at the Dominion Theatre on 15 July 2016 for this strictly limited season to 7 January 2017. 

HOLLYOAKS' Ben Richards has signed on to play the title role in THE BODYGUARD's return to the West End this summer.

David Mirvish has announced today the 14 shows in the 2016 - 2017 Mirvish Theatre Season. There will be seven shows in the Mainstage Subscription Series, three in the Off-Mirvish Subscription Series, and four bonus shows not on subscription.
