The 2017/2018 KeyBank Broadway at The Paramount season brings another year of superb entertainment to The Paramount Theatre, with a roster of shows that spans the ages, featuring familiar titles and brand new productions. Seattle Theatre Group is proud to announce the Broadway Musical, Hamilton, will play its premiere Seattle engagement and anchor the 2017/2018 KeyBank Broadway at The Paramount season.

The 2017/2018 Season starts with an all-time favorite, The Sound of Music, followed by the hit Broadway musical Disney's Aladdin that soars to new heights.

The season continues with The Bodyguard based on the smash hit film, starring Grammy Award-nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox. Next up, just in time for the holiday season is ELF The Musical.

The ultimate love story, Love Never Dies, which is Andrew Lloyd Webber's spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, makes its debut at the Paramount Theatre this season followed by Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISERABLES.

Subscribers will have the choice to customize their package by adding on Season Options such as The Book of Mormon; back by popular demand following sold out engagements in 2013, 2014 and 2015; and/or The Spectacular New Production of The Phantom of the Opera, hailed by critics as "bigger and better than ever before."

THE SOUND OF MUSIC - September 6 - 11, 2017

The Hills Are Alive! A brand-new production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC is coming to Seattle! The spirited, romantic and beloved musical story of Maria and the von Trapp Family will once again thrill audiences with its Tony, Grammy and Academy Award winning Best Score, including "My Favorite Things," "Do-Re-Mi," "Climb Ev'ry Mountain," "Edelweiss" and "The Hills are Alive" song. THE SOUND OF MUSIC enjoyed extraordinary success as the first live television production of a musical in over 50 years when "The Sound of Music Live!" aired on NBC in December, 2013 and was seen by over 44 million people. 2015 marked the 50th anniversary of the film version, which continues to be the most successful movie musical in history.

DISNEY'S ALADDIN - October 12 - 29, 2017

Discover a whole new world at DISNEY'S ALADDIN, the hit Broadway musical. From the producer of The Lion King comes the timeless story of Aladdin, a thrilling new production filled with unforgettable beauty, magic, comedy and breathtaking spectacle. THE BODYGUARD - November 14 - 19, 2017

Based on the smash hit film, the award-winning musical will star Grammy Award-nominee and R&B superstar Deborah Cox! Former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard, Frank Farmer, is hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Each expects to be in charge; what they don't expect is to fall in love. A breathtakingly romantic thriller, THE BODYGUARD features a host of irresistible classics including "Queen of the Night", "So Emotional", "One Moment in Time", "Saving All My Love, Run to You", "I Have Nothing", "I Wanna Dance with Somebody" and one of the biggest selling songs of all time - "I Will Always Love You".

ELF The Musical - December 5 - 10, 2017

ELF The Musical is the hilarious tale of Buddy, a young orphan child who mistakenly crawls into Santa's bag of gifts and is transported back to the North Pole. Unaware that he is actually human, Buddy's enormous size and poor toy-making abilities cause him to face the truth. With Santa's permission, Buddy embarks on a journey to New York City to find his birth father, discover his true identity, and help New York remember the true meaning of Christmas. This modern-day Christmas classic is sure to make everyone embrace their inner ELF. Based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit, ELF features songs by Tony Award nominees Matthew Sklar and Chad Beguelin (The Wedding Singer), with a book by Tony Award winners Thomas Meehan (Annie, The Producers, Hairspray) and Bob Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone).

HAMILTON - February 13 - March 18, 2018

With book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda, direction by Thomas Kail, choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire, HAMILTON is based on Ron Chernow's biography of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton.

HAMILTON is the story of America's Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation's first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, HAMILTON is the story of America then, as told by America now.

LOVE NEVER DIES - May 8 - 13, 2018

Love Never Dies is a dazzling new production, which takes audiences on a thrilling rollercoaster ride of intrigue, obsession and romance. Be seduced by the beautiful; sometimes magical and poetic; sometimes joyful; and occasionally melancholic score. Don't miss this magnificent continuation of one of the world's greatest love stories as it makes its premiere in Seattle. This production played to critical acclaim throughout Australia and New Zealand and is described by Chris Boyd in The Australian as "The best thing Lloyd Webber has written in the quarter century since The Phantom of the Opera." Andrew Lloyd Webber describes the production as, "Probably the finest one I could ever, ever hope for." LES MISERABLES - June 6 - 17, 2018

Cameron Mackintosh presents the new production of Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg's Tony Award-winning musical phenomenon, LES MISERABLES, direct from an acclaimed two-and-a-half-year return to Broadway. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France, LES MISERABLES tells an unforgettable story of heartbreak, passion, and the resilience of the human spirit. Featuring the beloved songs "I Dreamed A Dream," "On My Own," "Stars," "Bring Him Home," "One Day More," and many more, this epic and uplifting story has become one of the most celebrated musicals in theatrical history. With its glorious new staging and dazzlingly reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo, this breathtaking new production has left both audiences and critics awestruck. THE BOOK OF MORMON - January 2 - 14, 2018

THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA - August 8 - 19, 2018

Cameron Mackintosh's spectacular new production of Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will return to Seattle as part of a brand new North American Tour. Critics are raving that this breathtaking production is "bigger and better than ever before" and features a brilliant new scenic design by Paul Brown, Tony Award-winning original costume design by Maria Björnson, lighting design by Tony Award-winner Paule Constable, new choreography by Scott Ambler, and new staging by director Laurence Connor. The production, overseen by Matthew Bourne and Cameron Mackintosh, boasts many exciting special effects including the show's legendary chandelier. The beloved story and thrilling score - with songs like "Music of the Night," "All I Ask Of You," and "Masquerade" - will be performed by a cast and orchestra of 52, making this PHANTOM one of the largest productions now on tour.
